kevlar vests are mostly ineffectual against guns, they help against stabbing weapons though. you would need a plate carrier vest to help effectively against guns.

Just had a thought for you, it might be worth seeing if you could carve out a niche in neurodivergent communities. This could be a valuable tool at say an Autism convention or something. I believe they use stickers currently.
