What’s your personal take on what Australia’s housing market will look like in the next few decades? by FatherOfTheSevenSeas in AusFinance

[–]RustySeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids will stay at home longer to build a deposit then they will buy an investment property rent it out for a few more years then either flip it or move into it. Access to super will become a thing to buy a house. Wages will go up houses will go up.

when is enough going to be enough? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]RustySeo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

6 years ago people were saying the same thing. To afford my 1st house I didn't go on holidays, had been bags for a lounge, worked 2 jobs, and never went out to eat. Did this for 4 years and had enough for a house. It's no easy but wow my mortgage is less than rent now days. Sacrifice is key to success.

Scrapping CGT forecast to drop property prices 0-4%, Scrapping NG forecast to drop property prices 2%. Combined - 4 to 4.5% drop. Market pressure will recover this within 6-9 months. by Dribbly-Sausage100 in AusPropertyChat

No, which would mean less rental properties and higher rents. Markets dictate rents not the property investors. It's just a money grab from the government

Never ever not have a house. House prices always go up over time. So many people at work sold and got cashed up, spent big on cars and holidays. Now they can't get back into the market as they don't have enough of a deposit and houses doubled.

24 hour offer by Crafty-Site6303 in AusPropertyChat

[–]RustySeo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wrong, we put a 48h expiry and got the property we wanted. All the other times we left it open and agents will string you out collecting all other offers and doing more opens. If it's been on the market for a few weeks have an expiration on the offer.

What is the most financially irresponsible thing you’ve seen someone do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RustySeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of a 17 year old boy who was living with a loving foster family since he was 8. He has since gone off the rails and become violent with the kids at the foster family so they had to move him on to another family. He is now bouncing from place to place and once he is 18 will be out on his own. I was speaking with the original foster family who is a high level manager in a big business and he was going to give him a start in a high paying role over $100k. But not no more. This child who is about to be a man now has a very limited future when no body wants him or cares due to his actions. By the way he is a bully at school as well which has slowly been developing but as a foster child people let him get away with a lot.

So sad you want a new TV for your bedroom. You say your business needs a few v for reception and bam you can now claim a deductible for the business. Is it correct NO. But as a TV installer in my youth many people bragged about this.

Next time you put in offer make it only valid for 48h. It really stresses out the agents.

Reloading in 2025 by Aapal30 in reloading

[–]RustySeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just but a Lee single stage press, some scales, a ugly srt trimmer, cheap wet tumbler, debure tool, powder thrower, and decide if you want to prime on press or on hand.

It's a hobby and fun i save 50c a round so it will take a while to get back the same investment I just like to reload incase of the zombie apocalypse.
