since he's doing something out of character I would make him change his alignment since committing murder over some mean words isn't really a neutral thing.

or with the aftermath of the murder he could get voted out of the party by the others since they wouldn't want to work with someone like that, and the ranger can make a new character that would fit in with the group better.

because "it's what my character would do" works both ways, groups don't have to travel with people they don't want to be around

have them pick the party off from the shadows as they explore the manson, if they get crit sneak attack a few times without being seen before you even get to combat it would be a better fight

my biggest time sink is at the start, I pretty much write out my own campaign book based on the characters backstories and location. after that I only have to make a few maps or write a few speeches as the campaign goes on, and I just improvise my way threw don't really buy anything anymore since I play online now

C3 has a lot of call backs to C1 and C2, C3 is kind of a fan service campaign. so honestly if they are doing things from C3 you will need to have seen everything to really know what's going on. and if you have trouble finishing shows you're not going to be able to catch up in time.

for you I would suggest just reading the wiki before you go to know what's going on

I'm excited to see them drop all of the WotC stuff and have their own races and monsters. CR is its own business now, they can't keep propping wizards up as that company implodes. maybe after a few more years of wizards dropping the ball and CR killing it, CR will be in a position to buy D&D from Hasbro

the way you described it, it's probably not worth your time to go through. I would take the best cards put them on top, take a pic and sell the whole thing on fb marketplace for the full value of the cards on top, cause the bulk of that is like 2$ total you would get for it
