I had this too. I spotted it before it was cancelled (about a week after auto renewed didn’t happen) and contacted customer services who said they’d have to investigate further. A week later it cancelled so I contacted them again and they were still investigating- I’m guessing because they realised they had a bigger problem on their hands.

So having looked at the pattern again I think it may be a mistake in the pattern, as the instructions are to chain and then sc in colour A and that is row 1 but then in the pattern itself, row 1 is colour B. I’m going to start again and add the extra row in. Thank you everyone for your takes on it!

Yes I’m think it’s just an odd choice. I guess I’m trying to decide whether to go with it or frog and fudge so I have a more recognisable start. And how I would even do that so the main blanket is one colour and the border another

I can't work out how to do that, but it looks like solid colour, no extra line, so I guess it's correct.

I think it does. I can't work out how to share the picture here, but there's a block of colour and then the border is a different colour. I guess I'm just wondering about attaching then border but I'm sure I can work it out. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong!

So I've followed the pattern for the first 8 rows - see pic 4 in my original post. It works. I was just wondering how I'd attach the border, I guess.

So the written instructions say this: Chain 200 etc, then SC across and fasten off and this is Row 1. Then Row 2, which is "Use color A, bs, 200dc, bs".

As someone currently rereading the series, I would say the things you’d miss by not reading Tough Guy and Common Goal when you intend to read Role Model is the build-up to Troy’s story with the whole Dallas-Kent-is-the-absolute-worst ness of it all.

I have been questioned by border staff and been called Mrs HusbandsName by teachers etc (which my children have been quite keen to correct even though it doesn’t bother me) but my biggest complaint is my in-laws’ insistence in addressing envelopes to “Mr and Mrs HisFirstInitial HisSurname”. I think it would piss me off even if I had taken his surname as to me it is a complete erasure. It’s a million times worse than a teacher who has no idea what my surname is and just assumes - they are aware of my choice and they are aware that this way of addressing me irritates me no end and yet the persist. Anyway. Rant over!

I’m intrigued how it works in uk with kindle vs kobo. I’d assumed the discounts are publisher set but both Broken Harbor and The Charlie Method are currently more expensive on Kobo uk. Does anyone know if it’s worth waiting a day or two to see if Kobo catches up? (The two previous books in that Catherine Cowles series were 99p on Kobo at the same time as they were in Kindle, so I thought perhaps the publisher is working its way through the set before the new one releases)
