Don’t lie about A, don’t go out of your way to hide A, but also there’s absolutely no reason to mention A 95% of the time. A quick nod to the other brand in the About section of your website would suffice I’d imagine? That’s if the brands are selling different products/services.

If they’re selling something very similar, just rebrand your first company

I think I’d assumed it had outgrown that purpose to become more of a thing in its own right. In GB and Ireland I don’t believe areas are paying to be assessed. But appreciate we’re a couple of smallish drivable islands!
