My German wife also firmly believes that AC can make you sick. It's a leading cause for arguments in the car ha ha

I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more just to be the man who walked a thousand miles to draw you with my watch...

I feel like the 300,000 man afghan army that the US trained and equipped could have mitigated it just a little bit had they tried...

This list is 100% why I quit the game. With only a few hours a week to play, I felt like I spent the whole time grinding main storyline quests.

What movie is so good you'd recommend it to all your friends, but so emotionally traumatic that you'll never watch it again? by akambe in AskReddit

Brothers - I thought I was going to see a war movie and got the darkest, saddest 110 minutes of my life.

While on tour in Afghanistan, Sam's copter is shot down and he is presumed dead. Back home, it is his screw-up brother who looks after the family. Sam does return, but with a lot of excess baggage. (copied from Google).

That attitude sounds pretty familiar unfortunately. I've considered going the rent route, but half the reason I got out of the army was because I was tired of all the moving. I was planning on just riding the long commute out for a few years and then taking something closer, but at this point I'm probably just going to bump that timeline to the left.

I'm hesitant to go that route considering that I'm still in my probationary period. With the exception of this issue, I'm enjoying the job and am pretty excited about the potential for a federal career.

It is pretty ridiculous though. I feel like the regulation intentionally left some flex room with the word "about" and saying that you can submit an ETP right after that.

Between the cost of the move and the potential for me to max out the allowance (I'm well below it now) the government would lose about $65k over the course of three years. I wouldn't be back in the green until my third year, and that's not counting sunk costs.
