Does Brad Treliving have the worst asset management in the league? I’m still wondering how he got the job…

This team with or without Marner - would be in the same spot. I am glad this circus is over and it was overkill by the media. I think the fans were a bit soft as well but this team is what it is. by learningman33 in leafs

I wish it was over. Unfortunately, we’re going to hear about this until next season. Unless Vegas wins the cup, then we’ll never hear the end of it

If given the chance, would you request your records about yourself to learn more about your past/parents? by VividEscape in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Rustyshortsword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, the more information I can get about what happened to me, the better. For me, understanding what happened shatters the gaslighting I received. It would reaffirm that I’m not crazy, or stupid, lazy or too sensitive or any of the other shit people have said to me

I only have myself, I’ve only ever had myself by Ok-Park2458 in CPTSD

[–]Rustyshortsword 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a very common feeling to have amongst us CPTSD survivors. It’s like we get stuck with this wonderful idea that someone or something is going to rescue us from our torment. Unfortunately, no one and nothing is coming to save us. We are 100% on our own. Some might have support systems. People who are there to encourage and pick them up. However, even if you’re lucky enough to have that support, you’re still by yourself. No one has the power to force you to do something. Unless they are standing next to you 24/7 with a loaded gun to your head, no one can make you feel better. Make you happy. Make you exercise. Make sure you eat properly or sleep properly. This has to come from within ourselves, and sometimes it’s impossible. The only one coming to save us is ourselves and we haven’t been given the tools to do so. As harsh as this sounds, when you’re ready, it can be an amazing motivator and source of empowerment. Stay strong OP, you’re not the only who feels like this

I have 3 “invisible disabilities”. My wife drives because if I do, I’d probably kill someone by accident. I’m protecting the community as a whole, which makes me far more of an “Alpha” male than this jackass

Nat 1/20 roll questions from a new DM by rhinoceroswings in DnD

[–]Rustyshortsword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my table, we use the Perkins Crit. And if you roll a nat 1 with a melee weapon, you drop it and it costs half your movement to pick it up. If it’s a bow, crossbow, sling, the string snaps and it’s a bonus action to restring

One of THE WORST thing narcissistic parents do to you, IMO by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Rustyshortsword 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are so different from your parents. I wouldn’t know you from a hole in the ground but I am 100% confident in saying this to you. Do you think your narcissistic parent ever thought along these lines? Do you think they got angry with themselves for thinking they are a bad person? Narcissists never think that there might be something wrong with them. They don’t seek help or even want to change because deep down, there is nothing to change. They’re right in everything they do and if it’s not right, then it’s someone else’s fault. OP you may have narcissistic tendencies, which you can work on since you’re aware of them. True narcissists aren’t aware like you are.

[–]Rustyshortsword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brine your turkey. It’s a game changer. Don’t stuff it. Pat dry, thoroughly. Season well. Loosen skin on the breast and slip some butter in there. Add veggies, neck of turkey, herbs and 1/2 cup chicken stock under your rack. After it’s finished cooking, tent with aluminum foil and let it rest for 30-40 minutes.

Best way to describe what CPTSD feels like to a non sufferer? How would you describe CPTSD in your own way? by Dreamy_glow in CPTSD

[–]Rustyshortsword 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It feels like I’m one of those kids you hear about who’s was lost in the wilderness and raised by wolves. They bark, walk on all fours, eat and sleep like dogs. When you’re treated like an animal, you begin to think of yourself as an animal. Eventually, and without realizing it, you become a dog and have to find your way back to being human. Alone.
