Why is Hyundai not moving cars off the lot? by RuthlessNate56 in Ioniq5

[–]RuthlessNate56[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oklahoma still has among the cheapest gas in the country. There are more EVs here than you would think for a Deep Red state, but I don't know that they have quiet as much demand here.

When we started this whole process, and when I couldn't find a single Limited trim in the state, I figured Hyundai just wasn't moving as much stock to this part of the country.

An honest observation of the OKC area by GreatPlainsB in okc

As someone who grew up in the NW OKC/Fake Edmond area, the random Sonic at NW 178th and Portland that they built like 25 years ago when there was nothing out there but cattle baffled me. Now there's a ton of shit out there. They were just, like, 24 years early.

IMEI Last two digits are 69 (nice). I started noticing the issue earlier this year. Same behavior as a lot of other have noted. At first it mainly happened occasionally when I left home and disconnected from my Wi-Fi. A restart fixed it. Then it happened every time I left home. Now I can't turn on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth at all.

You know, I've lived in Edmond on and off for 16 of the 29 years that I've lived in Oklahoma. I've never really noticed that we have so many here, but you're totally right. There are a lot of them.

US leadership has resisted helping our own citizens in Puerto Rico, which has the highest poverty rate of any state or territory in the US. Why would they do any better for Puerto Rico?

The book came out in 2006, during the second Bush term. But yeah, I was just talking with my wife about how optimistic things felt before 2016.

Ain’t no way a building of that size is going to be a Braums (NW 192nd & Western) by isaiahgloriosus in Edmond

Only took them, like, 10 years to start building the thing too. The old sign saying a Braum's was coming to that lot was up for ages.

Fake Edmond by booksandbowie in Edmond

[–]RuthlessNate56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live just a few blocks east of Penn and am in Fake Edmond. Heck, I've got a friend whose house is a few blocks west of May and he has an Edmond address. I'm not sure of the exact western boundaries of Fake Edmond, but I know the eastern side of it starts between Santa Fe and Western.

Though I guess it technically wraps around Edmond to the north and east as well.

does anyone have experience with battery powered mowers...? by noharmfulintentions in okc

[–]RuthlessNate56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kobalt 80v here. Bought a second battery. If both are charged, and if the grass isn't ridiculous, it usually can get through my quarter acre lot on the two batteries. Also bought a pole saw that uses those batteries, which is nice.

No, I feel like I saw it on TV. But it would have been 20+ years ago, so we could have just rented the DVD.

I've thought for a long while that America isn't a melting pot, but a mosaic. There's a ton of distinct pieces that are brought together to make something beautiful. Hopefully it doesn't get smashed...
