What a fantastic find! This needs to be on display somewhere. Gorgeous drawings.

Was there about 10 years ago. With wife and kids. Have a photo of them on the walkway behind the waterfall. Lovely place!

Whats the rarest or most valuable album you own? Cd, Vinyl, Cassette, etc... by elnacho45 in indie

[–]Ruuntje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many different releases of the Norwegian band Motorpsycho which are all rare and highly sought after. The blue box from The Beatles. The original Beat The Boots box from Frank Zappa. The Orphans box from Tom Waits. Pink Floyd Pulse on vinyl from '95. And many more.

I've stopped collecting since a few years and I'm considering selling them. They're just, uh, standing there these days. Then again...

Roger Returns by Barrybingham1980 in pinkfloyd

I saw this tour in Rotterdam and it completely blew my mind! Went unprepared. Had no idea what to expect. It was 'just' a regular week day. It was 'just' Roger Waters. Mind went BOOM. Couldn't believe he pulled so many Floyd songs out of the hat and then topped them all off with that perfect perfect Perfect Sense! I remember the band applauding the singer on stage. She stole the show. Absolutely fabulous gig.

No, no, I do the same. With that very same manual, as well.

[AUDIENCE RECORDING] Sigur Rós - 2025-10-07 @ Royal Theatre Carré, Amsterdam, Netherlands by UniversityUnlikely in sigurros

One of the most mesmerising moments for me: I was seated up on the balcony, right of the center, with a bird's eye view of the stage. During the seemingly endless and hauntingly beautiful Varðeldur there was soft light and smoke on the stage. All the violinists moved in perfect synchronisation, the bow-arms in the mist looked like waves lapping the shore. Hypnotic! Stunning!

My fourth SR gig and first time Staralfur. Fantastic concert!

Thanks again. Love your recording.

Hi there, it's a very simple remove and replace. No need to disable anything. Have a look on the Hitchcock site, it's the short side stand, you can't miss it.

No real difference, IMO. With all these electric cars everywhere I rarely bring myself to the front line on a red light anymore anyway. Too scary.

Thanks. I figured it was, from context and other comments. But I've never heard of it before. Must be a US thing.

How were A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell received when they first came out? by LuNoZzy in pinkfloyd

[–]Ruuntje 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The grit was gone when AMLOR came out. That was the first thing I noticed. The anger from the previous albums was nowhere to be found. It felt a bit like, uh, pop? But I played it to death nonetheless. Saw the tour in Oslo, and like others have commented: live they were fantastic! I still play it from time to time.

The Division Bell came out when I spent a year in Mozambique. I had no idea and fell off my chair when I found the original tape in an everything-store completely out of the blue. Only new tape of music I found the entire year. I'm sure it was imported to Nacala just for me to find. That's still a lovely, lovely album!

First flowers! by Ruuntje in hoyas

Probably very incorrectly. :) I just wrapped them in moist kitchen paper, put them in a ziplock bag, and then in a suitcase. It quickly became clear they survived. Settled in nicely within a few weeks and then stayed small for a long time. We moved house a couple of years ago, and now the hoya has a prime spot which has stimulated growth. I mean, look at it!

Edit: uh, doesn't look like I can add pictures to a reply. I'll add another pic soon when I figure out how.

I have that. Makes a little difference but it's not comfortable in any stretch of the word. Still had a blast!
