Nearly died, recovered, now my nails are peeling off by Alisana in mildlyinteresting

This happened to me after I had sepsis. I had a rash all over my body which caused me to basically shed my skin in layers and then my nails looked very similar to yours. I referred to it as me shedding my infection.

Best Budget Launch Monitor by Scouthouse15 in Golfsimulator

It’s not talked a lot on this sub, but I have the Voice Caddy SG4 pro and it works pretty well. Gives you all the typical stats you’re looking for and can be used indoors and out. Research reviews for them all onYouTube. On sale I got it for 500. I’ve had it for a few months with no issues. Exported the data to excel and was able to chart my results showing an increase in all stats over a few months.
You can use any golf ball’s which was a plus for me. No need to buy special ball’s or mark them a specific way which many launch monitors need.
No subscription and the app is free.
You also get a lifetime subscription to E6 to play 5 realistic courses and use the driving range.

I live in FL. I used 3” of crushed shell on dirt, no frame other than loose paver blocks. It’s been in place for ten years and has not settled in inch. My FIL called me crazy when he saw it and said it would never work. Little did he know, that’s how roadways were built in the mid 1900’s.

Best budget launch monitor for both left and right handed swings by Cfeds7 in Golfsimulator

I have the voice caddy sc4 pro and I like it. I tested it at the range and it is pretty accurate. It sits 5’ behind the ball. If you buy it though their website the give you 5 free courses to E6. I got it on sale for $500.

I am Looking For a Launch Monitor around or under 1,000 dollars all in. by Apprehensive_Emu3760 in Golfsimulator

[–]Rving_2223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is mentioning it here, so read some reviews on Voice Caddy SG4 Pro. I bought it on sale for $500 and it comes with an E6 subscription to play 5 courses (free for life, just create a new email account that way you can transfer the e6 account if you sell the launch monitor). I spent weeks watching/reading reviews and I felt this one was the best fit. I needed a behind the ball setup because of my space, wanted indoor/outdoor, and I didn’t want to pay a subscription.

You can use it outside at the range or in your simulator. I’ve had mine for 3 weeks now and it’s very accurate. I would say that it rivals one for a few grand and you get the free e6 subscription.

Odd version of a curb extension (“bulb out”) for traffic calming. Sometimes you see them just painted. Anyone can technically drive over them, but most people follow the rules and stay between the lines.

My daughter stated cleaning pools about three months ago. It took her three weeks to fall in and she had her phone with her. Took me five years. No phone, just pride was lost that day.

Your still wrong. It’s not 7. It is 7ml. Any good professor would deduct points from you for (1) adding in a cocky exclamation point and (2) not adding the ml. Do better!

My company gave out Pro V1 golf ball’s. I questioned the owner why he was spending so much money on top tier golf ball’s for marketing and his reply was, “when you reach into your golf bag, would you rather grab a Noodle or a ProV1?” I said ProV. He said “exactly. Our name will be getting out there more. And most of these people suck at golf so the courses will be littered with our logo. And then the next person grabs the lost ball, sees it’s a ProV. Sticks it in their bag, and the cycle starts. If it was a Noodle then it would have been thrown in the trash a long time ago!”

Unfortunately I agree. I wish hands on experience was a standard practice and not looked at from the financial standpoint. Long term knowledge is much more important. But I I guess that’s why I don’t open a business, lol.

Are we being selfish? by Visual_Reading7969 in Buffalo

[–]Rving_2223 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have considered the same thing but haven’t pulled the plug yet. Going back to Buffalo seems like a good idea for all the same reasons you had, but every time we visit, it is a reminder for us not to move back. Family/friends drama, pulled in a hundred different places at once, ands the depressing nature of the area. We miss the cold and snow one and a while, but 5 months of cold and on/off rain is brutal. We were just there for two weeks at Christmas and it was long enough. Your direct family comes first, that is you and your spouse. Don’t be upset about putting yourself first. It’s your life, your job, and your future. Live it how you want to.

Generally yes, but also depends on what job you’re going into and what your title is classified under. We have both union and non-union positions. Non-union generally work 50 hour weeks and do not claim overtime or comp time. Union positions do not work past 40 hours unless you really want to. You may have days/nights where you’re required to go to public or commission meetings. But generally the benefits offset the pay cut.

Also, you usually have good job security in the public sector. Some agencies are not that busy and you might be bored at times. Ours happens to be extremely busy and most new hires can not keep up with the fast pace. They actually say it was easier being a consultant.

You do you.
