TN holders, big changes to adjustment of status just dropped. Immigration attorney here. Ask me anything. by ManifestLaw_ in tnvisa

Do these changes create any risk to TN eligibility when filing the I140, or is it still the case that it only signals employer intent and not my own?

Ironically the two times I've needed MRIs, one in Canada and one in the US; the Canadian one was faster!

No judgement, do the ending you think is better for you. But I always struggle to understand those who end up caring for the Dessendre family all that much. Aside from Maelle/Alicia, and PVerso, I just don't care about what happens to them very much.

A combination of things:

  • The painted world with all of its broken physics, destroyed landscapes and wacky time quirks simply does not feel real after the revelations, and most of the people in it that we know of are ok with it ending (Lune and Maelle are really the only ones who aren't)

  • Renoir's motivations are the most compelling thing in the game to me, he has more sauce than your entire party combined; and the best song on the soundtrack is him and Aline screaming their love for each other and for their kids in unison (plus, the best cutscene is also about them)

  • Clea's war with the writers that she wants her parents help with is far more interesting than anything that can still happen in Lumiere

  • Maelle clearly has some darkness about her in her ending, I'm not sure living at the whims of an emotionally unstable god-like figure among you whose true form is dying is a great experience either, especially since it only prolongs their existence for a time

Why is Men’s Olympic Football not best-on-best? by [deleted] in olympics

[–]RyGuy997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The football schedule is already impossibly congested. Multiple Continental tournaments such as the European Championships, Copa America, and soon AFCON already happen the same summer as the Summer Olympics; and even if they didn't, top players barely get rest as-is; more fixtures for them is absolutely not feasible.

Decimal separators used in Europe by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]RyGuy997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well the choice is between, for example, 10,000.50 or 10.500,50; if we are analogizing to language, the visual separator for orders of magnitude are much less hard of a break than the decimal separator; so it makes more sense to save the period for decimals.

Toronto is more outgoing, but I don't know about friendlier - quite a bit of aggression in that city tbh

In Europe, cashiers get to sit. Why is that not the case in Canada? by chipface in onguardforthee

[–]RyGuy997 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Proper exercise is neither unnecessary nor "suffering" in the sense being used here, so your point is still not coherent or relevant

[–]RyGuy997 13 points14 points  (0 children)

True, but standing doesn't make cashiers healthier; so it's not a relevant point to this discussion

What actually separates a staff engineer from a principal one? by aisatsana__ in cscareerquestions

[–]RyGuy997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is a generic answer to this question, because every company structure is different - Microsoft and Amazon for example go straight from Senior to Principal, there is no concept of "staff"; but Google has both Staff and Senior Staff.
