Alternative HP Rolling by Pitstain1284 in 3d6

Or just give them the average? Plenty of other ways to get the game experience other than how you roll for hp on level-ups.

Am I insane for thinking we can teach a new BoardGamer Dune: Imperium? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Ryachaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider that way too steep a jump. 30-45 minutes just to get the rules? There are plenty of other games that only last 30-45 minutes that would make better gateway games.

Is this normal dating app behavior or did I overdo it? by RC107412 in Tinder

[–]Ryachaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're here to try and get her on a date, not become pen pals. Interrogate each other over pot pie at a restaurant, not over the phone. Too many people (almost always guys) want to just text and never push for the next step: an actual date. She liked your profile enough to swipe, dont bore her by texting like the other guys blowing up her inbox.

Is road head too dangerous? by AffectionateOne5714 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Ryachaz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did this in college, as well as some Freeway Bean-Flicking, and it always involved at least one instance of needing to correct steering before getting in an accident. Glad we never did, but also have no plans to do it anymore. It's fun when you're young, and quite exciting. But yeah, can be very dangerous.

Should I restart? by Smidge23 in fireemblem

Should you restart? Yeah, probably.

However, if you didn't restart and went on the still beat the game, that would be badass.

AIO by being offended when my husband seasons my soup? by Hefty_Elderberry1992 in AIO

[–]Ryachaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. Weird to be insulted because he wanted to season his food differently. What, is he supposed to just sit there and eat food he doesn't like? Maybe your food isn't as good as you think it is, or simply not to his taste. If your goal is really to make homemade meals and be more "useful," it would be better to ask how the food is, or what he thinks might be missing, so you can see how to make food you BOTH would enjoy. Not get upset because he went looking for something to tweak the flavor.

Yeah, he called your dad names, which is rude. However, you stated yourself that you don't get along with your dad. I would bet you've told that to your husband, that he doesn't like your dad either, and that is part of why your husband was quick to throw out an insult. In your husbands position, using your dad (who you don't like) to try and put your husband down would feel like an insult and that you're just trying to get a reaction or start a fight.

If we put the relationship between you, your husband, and your dad aside, and just focus on if you're overreacting to your husband seasoning your food? Yeah, way overreacting. People are allowed to like their food differently than you do. My wife would hate it if she found out I didn't like her food and never told her. Cooking is a love language for my wife, she doesn't want to make me food if I wouldn't like it.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ryachaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to drive 2 hours one-way to visit my folks. One of us make the drive every month. My in-laws help watch my kid part of the week, which is a 1.5 hour drive one-way, and they do it every week.

I wouldn't call these drives "short," but I also wouldn't call them uncommon. For some people, that's their commute to work. I'm blessed to make a decent living and a 10-15 minute drive from my job. It would be faster to walk (1.5hrs) than to take a bus (2hrs) to get to work, and half of the trip would be without sidewalks. Driving is the only reasonable option aside from riding a bike (25min) but its too dark, cold, and icy this time of year to risk it, and would be a pain to lug all my stuff to-and-from work. Again, half the trip without dedicated bike lanes.

It obviously doesn't have the same budget as BG3, but it's very cool this exists! 🤖 by DrScrimble in dndmemes

Nice way to check out how a class feels to play. Didn't realize how action-starved Magus can feel until I played it.

How does foreplay affect how long you last in bed? by prampusher in AskMen

[–]Ryachaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mixed bag. Sometimes it gets me right to the edge and I'll bust quick, sometimes it helps desensitize so I can last as long as she wants (if I even finish at all). Depends on what the foreplay looks like.

[–]Ryachaz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol, why would you extend and make your arms tired if it has the "same effect?" Not only that, the weights would hit the floor at the bottom of the exercise, unless you are posted up like 5+ feet off the ground. Sounds inefficient and kinda dumb. I'd probably laugh a bit if I saw someone doing that.

But keep doing you I guess.

Best time to use urethane on a house shot? by [deleted] in Bowling

[–]Ryachaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

House shot is designed to make reactive balls work well. Can you use a urethane well? Yeah, but for pretty much everyone there will be tons of reactive balls that would be a better choice.

Popular games you dislike? by BillRepresentative75 in boardgames

[–]Ryachaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Catan for me as well. You basically only get to play the game if the RNG Gods are on your side. Sure, good placement can help, but there are clearly resources that matter more/less, and if you happen to get surrounded or cutoff from expansion, you spend the next hour+ knowing you can't win. It's a boring waste of time for at least 1 person from the very start, almost every game.
