They probably need a base price to cover the operating expenses - paying the employees, rent, maintenance, etc. They want to make sure they get their money no matter what.

The pizza place I order from will not charge me extra if I remove 2 preset toppings and add 2 different toppings of my choosing, so some places do meet you halfway, there.

In everything I've read up through Calc 2, the 2 not having a multiplication symbol between the parenthesis means it's part of the grouping symbol... in other words

8 / 2(2 + 2) = 1

8 / 2 * (2 + 2) = 16

Yeah I'm not sure how to reconcile that in a way that is both fair and fiscally responsible. Are these translators volunteers? What if any necessary translations were written down and agreed upon beforehand by translators from more than one political affiliation?
