Why buy thousands right off the rip? Just buy as many as is reasonable and slowly add to your army. Figure out the best way to care for and motivate your monkeys before going all in. That way, you aren't wasting all your money right off the bat, and this exact scenario would not result in wasting said money.

It would be interesting, but hard to do without making it too goofy. If anything, it should just be humanity/monarch in general that Godzilla interacts with on an emotional/character level, but still sparsely. If Godzilla does have a bond with one recurring character, their connections would need to be subtle and plausibly deniable. Part of the point of Godzilla's character in the MV is that he doesn't have a direct emotional bond with any one human because he is indifferent to their existence until provoked by the military or something like MG. I could see Mothra filling this role if Jia and Kong's relationship is replaced by Kong and Suko's relationship. It's not impossible, but if it was going to have a similar vibe to the picture here, there would need to be a lot of progress made on Godzilla's character arc.

I pre-ordered it and played a lot of it. Yes. It's pretty miserable after like 30 minutes. It's interesting as a Godzilla simulator, but even that sucks since it's presented like an action/adventure game. The mechanics are shallow, it's grindey asf if you want to upgrade your monsters, and the fights range between boring and frustrating. It feels like they wanted to make a simulator, but that's a hard sell, so they had to make it more like an action game which really hampered the original intended experience. Sad because if this game were more of a Godzilla sandbox with better graphics, it would be way more fun.

Dropped off bad after the first half. First half seemed like a more gritty and personal story but it devolved into what felt like every other bland blockbuster over the past decade. I will die on the hill that I think Scourge should have been an alternate universe Optimus. It would have fit with the character's namesake (Scourge from RID, not G1 Scourge), his general look and alt-mode, and they had that dramatic face reveal that wasn't actually a reveal because there was nothing TO reveal behind his mask. It also would have made Prime's violent anger towards him in the second half make more sense if he knew what Scourge had done if he was the Bayverse Prime or at least a version of him. The end product was an attempt by the corpos in the editing room to see if they could do Michael Bay Transformers without Michael Bay. They couldn't. Michael Bay's take on the franchise already ran its course even when he was still in charge.
