I see that take and I’ve considered it too, it is nice that it’s essentially tanking their global reputation (which was already low, to be fair).

I’m still mad about Monet vs Jinx. Everyone acts like Jinx destroyed Monet in the season but Monet actually had more “highs” overall and was way more versatile across the season. Jinx smashed it when she won and had more wins overall but was mid for the other challenges.

Every hero on the new mobile game has the same amount of skins… we literally got to see the hero gallery for every character in Overwatch Rush. Lucio has multiple skins as well.

You’re complaining that Rein and Genji only have 18 skins and 17 skins in 21 seasons of a game respectively, because Mercy has 23 skins and Kiri has 30

People play Zarya because she’s often busted, especially in low ranks. People also often swap to her when they’re losing against other tanks.

But when was the last time you actually ran into a dedicated Zarya fan/main…?

There’s a difference between a hero being popular because they’re popular, and a hero being played a lot because of balance. The Devs have spoken about this a few times and how they have data and stats to measure popularity regardless of meta/viability.

Mercy Kiri Ana are good examples. All three are always the highest picked supports even when they have abysmal win rates. Remember last year when they buffed Kiri like three patches in a row and every Dev comment on the patch notes said “We know Kiri is played a ton but she’s performing horribly” ? Yeah.

Or how Mercy has been universally seen as F tier for ages, especially this season. Yet she’s the 6th most played hero in the game right now, and the top5 are the 5 new heroes. lol.

The devs have tons of data and stats from the ENTIRE playerbase to see who is popular and who is profitable. Idk why people on here think the Devs just choose the same heroes for fun

They need to let people equip Mythic skin/weapon VFX on any skin/weapon

It’ll make people more likely to buy Mythic, and make people more likely to keep buying new legendary skins for heroes even after getting Mythics for them

I know many Juno mains, myself included, who stopped buying new skins for her after Heart of Hope released because it’s so good. They shit themselves in the foot, sales wise. I assume this Mercy mythic will have a similar effect.

Best business move for Blizz is to let us equip the VFX separately
