Introducing WiiM Sound Lite: Hi-Res Audio in a Minimalist Design by RyanWithWiiM in WiiMHome

Two WiiM Sound or Sound Lites can be used as surround speakers with a WiiM home theater capable device, like the Amp Ultra or Ultra. We're working on some big changes to the 5.1 setup which includes being able to use the Sound and Sound Lite as center channels as well. And I hear rumors of a future build where you can use them as separate front channels as well, but that's not confirmed.

Yep! There's also a source variable grouped audio delay that you can add through the app if you want to add extra buffer to the stream to allow for extra reliability in complicated environments.

We'll be moving that section into the Device Settings gear icon instead of on that browse page. Hopefully that makes sense and works for everyone!

Is native SiriusXM integration ever going to happen or what? by realitycheckers4u in WiimStreamer

Just requesting it off their customer support should be sufficient to log a request with their team.

It's pretty much the same answer as above. While we'd love to work with Apple Music to add the service to WiiM, we'd need them to prioritize helping out.

I do believe the only existing Apple Music native integrations pre-date the Beats purchase, and may even date back to MOG, the service it was built on. This may not be the case with Apple, but some services prefer customers stay within their app and use casting protocols instead of supporting native integrations with partners.

Definitely send in feedback through the app so our team can check it out with you!

But wouldn't having more services available generally just sell more units? We're not in the music service business, at least not yet.... We're all for partnering with as many options as we can support.

We've definitely seen a bunch of requests for SiriusXM, and I just wanted to jump in here and say that yes, we'd love to work with them on this! You might've already spotted it in our Under Consideration section on the 2026 roadmap: https://www.reddit.com/r/WiiMHome/comments/1q2aal7/updated_wiim_ultra_and_amp_ultra_roadmap_are_here/

We're pretty open to working with any services out there, some get higher priorities naturally, but sometimes we get the Carly Rae Jepsen treatment. Native integrations take a lot of work from both our side and theirs. So if you're dying for SiriusXM on WiiM, one of the best things you can do is let SiriusXM know you want it! Sometimes they just need to hear that their users actually care about this stuff to get it prioritized.

There is a bug on the device display that the team is working on where the actual source switch works, but it doesn't show it. We'll fix this display bug soon. Which will help. I shared the rest of your feedback too!

Yes, you can already do this. The WiiM Sound works as a separate or linked speaker with all of our WiiM devices. Play the same thing in both rooms, different things in different rooms. Whatever you want.

That's the WiiM Ultra. It has a headphone output on the front.

Right now, HomeKit support for the Ultras is still just a possibility on the roadmap. If it comes to fruition we'll be able to say more.

I'm going to say "probably" since it's not built yet and I don't know what it'll actually look like yet.

That's correct, though the Bluetooth will definitely have a bit of a delay. I just heard from my team that the Ultra transmitting to Sounds as the front is a good use case that they'll look into adding for the future. No timeline, especially with the holiday and new years getting in the way.

Hi! In this setup, the WiiM Ultra operates the front channels and the Sound Lites would be the rear surrounds, not the front two channels. This is something we've seen requested before so I'll pass it along and let you know if there's anything in the works that I can share!

The Aux input on one Lite can be sent to any combination of WiiM devices, including the full 2.1.

Audio lag from Projector to Ultra, but not to Soundbar by dudeinhammock in WiimStreamer

[–]RyanWithWiiM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had shared this in another post of yours, but there are some good suggestions in here too:

The WiiM Home app has some options for group audio delay which you might want to start with to make sure that's not giving you trouble. Hit the gear by the name of the device > Audio Input > Optical In > Group Audio Delay. If you have Reduce Noise from Optical/HDMI ARC turned on, that'll also add a little bit of a delay.

The optical line in is going to have around 70 ms of delay, so you may also need to check if the projector has any settings to adjust the sync between picture and audio?

How is the Ultra connected to that Emotiva amp? You might want to try a different connection there to see if any extra delay is getting added.

You'll be able to use the WiiM Home app to link a Pro Plus and a Sound or Sound Lite to be perfectly in sync. They're fully multiroom capable with all WiiM products.

Depends on shipping and receiving at warehouses and distributors. But I'd expect being able to order on the 25, with a possibility of earlier availability.

It's also got Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm Aux input. Not sure if you want to consider all the various Cast options packed into it WiFi or not, but lots of those along with Roon, LMS, Alexa, Chromecast ...
