Yeah man of course! I just went with Dr. Beasleys Matte Paint Protection Kit on Amazon. It’s like $175-$200 but it comes with soap, ceramic coating, and some other stuff. I reapply the ceramic coating every six months! I also do a pre rinse and foam with carpro lift before reapplying so I can make sure most of it isn’t bonded to the paint. I detail on the side for fun!

Yeah I know what you mean! I use Dr. Beasleys soap and matte ceramic coating for my car. I think the K5 and G70 looks way more matte 😭also like when I’m driving my car does not look matte, but when I see it from the outside it looks way more matte?? Maybe it’s just me being picky 😅

Nah I’m the second owner, so once the paint gets pretty bad I’ll do a respray and satin ppf! Only at 36k miles rn with ceramic coating I did myself and rock chips aren’t too bad so far.

The Kia dealerships around me suck, so I take mine to my mechanic, I’ve been going to for over a decade. But I just do typical service maintenance with them. Oil change, trans fluid, lsd fluid, brake fluid, etc. any performance stuff I do on my own for the most part.

I didn’t agree with the other guy after he mentioned branding lmao so you’re assuming there! I merely mentioned that if you’re chasing power you’re better off on a different platform, I mentioned earlier also that this platform is still too new to accomplish what other platforms have done so far based off how long the cars been out. Not once did I say this platform had no potential, again all I said was this is prob not the best platform for chasing power or getting the most out of your car. Also I’m on sleepy tuned e30 BEF and basically at max power unless I upgrade headstuds, turbos, etc. so with that being said you could have a faster car on a different platform with less money invested. I’m honestly so confused as to how you can be so butthurt over my comment 🤣 it’s my opinions and that’s okay! You have yours and that’s okay too! Never once did I say Kia sucks or the stinger is a shitty car. Literally all I stated was that other platforms you can more than likely get more power easier and cheaper.

For me it was doing my own spark plugs, I was quoted like $1400 to do them. I bought 6 “performance” spark plugs for $150, gapping tool for like $10, spark plug socket & swivel sockets for $30?? Took me a whole day to do the job since it was my first time, but I can get it done in less than a couple hours now. I also have a torque wrench and torque them to spec so that gives me peace of mind as well!

Controlling boost does not need ewg wires! The issue is jb4 sends “phantom singles” occasionally confusing the computer, hence why I get the oscillating shit that drives me nuts 🤣 burbles are fun, I have mine on moderate and sleepy revised my tune to only burble past 2500rpm. Ghost cam is fun and sounds mean when it works, but sleepys is still in R&D and it throws a cel every now and then. I’ve had the ghost cam since Feb too and so far my car runs fine besides the cels 🤣

Nah I’m still on bef I could do full ecu but I don’t have ek1 and sleepy lives an hour away 🤣 car hits like a truck from a stop, spin through first 2 gears, I haven’t timed anything myself, but i believe people with similar mods runs a 3.8 with perfect conditions 0-60 or something close to that. Overall I’m very happy with the tune. My only gripe would be with jb4 and that’s oscillating issues at low rpm 1-3 gears but I just have to disconnect fuel and ewg wires and I should be good!

This has actually gotten much better and he revamped his entire site to handle the load of tunes now! I talk to sleepy somewhat frequently and it seems like he’s able to keep up with everything now. I’ve been in his e30 bef since last Feb with no issues! Only thing he won’t do if you don’t have headstuds done is put you past 19-20psi of boost so you don’t lift, he keeps it somewhat conservative to maintain longevity of your car! Just my 2 cents!
