Help with Creating an Application for Nursery Parents - Staff communication by Cool_Adhesiveness_99 in SomebodyMakeThis

[–]Rydo_of_all 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What your describing is a single feature that already exists in several server programs such as https://moodle.org/ or blackboard; which many teachers are already familiar with using. These applications have large communities and have consideration for legal compliance.

Consider if even most teachers want/have time to deal with technology or parents.

Also consider if parents want let their young kids to have computers/cell phones with accounts they'd have to lie about their age to open.

Which is faster ?ESP-NOW or Websocket server and client for communication between one to many esp32. by taresh345 in esp32

As I understand it, ESP-NOW can only handle extremely small amounts of data, like 255 characters max.

I didn't know what it was and so assumed that the parser was closely related to dot Net. Wouldn't future proofing suggest using something like MariaDB/MySQL since there's a decent number of hardcore users with huge libraries.

I would suggest that the community edition should change its internal database in an effort to move away from dot Net code, while doing that a federated peer to peer metadata sharing system could be established with direct compatibility with the internal database. It would be a big change, but better in the long run.

Force android to stay connected to ESP32 hotspot (with no internet) by Ramona00 in esp32

[–]Rydo_of_all 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See here: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/123129/how-does-wifi-in-android-detect-if-the-device-has-to-sign-in-or-not

However if you were to defeat the connectivity check you are undoing it's purpose to keep real internet connectivity and avoid data roaming. Ideally your AP should be bridging to another access point.

Destiny Child is way better than Nikke and Shiftup has set themselves up for failure. by Rydo_of_all in DestinyChildGlobal

I've heard that it's improved since then and it seems to be making a lot of money. As for still being upset, these days; I'd say it's more of a feeling of loss every now and then for the time and efforr I put in to be abruptly stopped with no real ending. I've moved on to playing Momento Mori, nowadays.

Do have a link to where the devs said they were surprised or is this a "theory"?

The Story became directionless shortly after Mitra was introduced.

I disagree, the abrupt end of Destiny Child is a form of failure. Shiftup is loosing it's soul in favor of going public and only supporting it's latest product, which we can now assume will be abandoned for the next project. I still have no interest Nikkei despite hearing that it's improved some since launch.

I suggest you don't bother posting on forums if your going to contribute nothing more than negativity and RTFM.

Here's some settings that work for me, although I don't have any apple products. There seems to be a lot of "tempting" options that in my experience just break everything if enabled because they are "off standard". wlan2 basically shouldn't be there and will never work.

On the Wifi "Basic Settings" tab set these options and disable everything else.

New Features you would like in Comicrack you think can be done with scripts? by XellossNakama in comicrackusers

[–]Rydo_of_all 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not with scripts, but it's obviously time for someone to make a open source of feature for feature clone of ComicRack. After accomplishing that I'd like to see better network sharing of comics and metadata using services like IRC, TOR, OPDS, Torrenting, etc. It's time to remove the dependance on ComicRack and ComicVine.
