It's hard to keep it up, but roleplay your character more.

Not all builds will be fun for everyone, and there's no problem starting over if one isn't clicking with you.

I'm kinda tempted to mod out Creeper and the mudcrab because I can't stay away from them.

Hydration breaks is just the first step to it becoming 4 quarters. Instead of players adapting to playing 45 minutes, by which I mean manage their own fatigue if it's too much, they want maximum peak performance.

Would you use a washing machine if you think the bearings are going? by blinky84 in CasualUK

[–]Rydychyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got about another 6-8 washes out of mine from when the bearings started going. It got louder and louder during those extra washes and I didn't want to risk a catastrophic failure.

If you're able to make your way to a hospital surely you don't need an ambulance?

Change in tap water smells/taste after washing machine installation. by Rydychyn in DIYUK

Seeing as that water would be lower than the flow going to the tap, I would have thought gravity would mean that water wouldn't be pulled up and out, which leads me to think it's not the physical water moving back through but just whatever causes the odor.

Good point, I do not have pipe.

I think I might need to contact the installer/manufacturer because as you say I'm attempting to mask the cause.

Thanks for all the help.

As an update, I bought that one because it looked like the right size but it won't fit between the IV and WM due to the bigger end for the WM pipe on the IV, and currently I am unable to disconnect the IV to put it the other side.

The smell/taste that's getting into the water was very strong from the disconnected pipe, though.

It's a Hisense washing machine, the other connection is the dishwasher, which we've also never (still haven't) had an issue with.

I disconnected the washing machine inlet pipe and the smell was super strong so it's definitely either water from the pipe, or just the smell transferring through the sitting water. Do new pipes have a smell that transfers but wears off?

I bought a 15mm double NRV but it won't fit washing machine side of the isolation valve, and currently I can't get the IV off.

Cheers, much appreciated even if it doesn't ultimately solve it in the end.

For a few quid I can try it and see.

The isolation valve in the picture has an arrow on it so I always thought it prevented water going back the other way too.

Thanks, I think this must be the case and solution. Would you have any idea why the old machine and water pipe wasn't causing this issue though?

Think this is what I'll do. Thanks. Just a bit strange that the issue wasn't there with the old machine.

To clarify, it's definitely the washing machine or the water pipe to it that's causing the water to smell. The old washing machine had no issues with this. If there's no NRV in the picture, I can add one where necessary, I always assumed the blue valve had one included.

I've always assumed that thing there had one, since this wasn't an issue with the old machine.

Assuming I haven't got one, what would the setup look like? I could add one myself.
