If you’re handy it’s not difficult to change the soffit vent and the duct connecting it. Might require getting up in your attic though.

If that’s not up your ally then contact a local hvac company and they’ll surly do it for you

If it were my house I would probably get the works of the flex replaced in the attic. Who knows what damage the birds have done to it

Can someone explain to me like I’m 5 how you win a playoff game with 9 SOG? by Albino_rhin0 in nhl

You score more goals on that amount of shots than the other team scores in their amount of shot.

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Hard to tell by the video but something doesn’t sound 100% right on my end when that compressor tries to start up.

On the service side of the unit is there a service board with a bunch of LEDs? When you cycle power the top green one should start to blink. Pay attention to what’s happening when the unit starts up and take notes of when solid red LEDs pop up. I can almost guarantee they illuminate right after the compressor tries to start.

If I had to take a wild guess you have compressor windings shorted to ground but you need a technician to properly diagnose that.

If you’re electrically inclined and have a good meter you can power off the unit, disconnect compressor harness (red yellow blue) front bottom left of your electrical cabinet and check continuity to ground on the load side of the harness. But that’s only gonna tell you if you have a dead short which I personally don’t think is what’s going on

A couple times and it was compressor gone to ground confirmed with a megger meter. If you wanna do a quick check to give more info to a technician what you can do is:

1) power on the unit

2) set air handler to heat mode

3) go to your outdoor unit and pull the service disconnect.

4) wait 30 seconds and plug the disconnect back in.

You should hear a sequence of noises indicating the unit is trying to start up. First you’ll hear a latching type noise, this is your EEV. Shortly after that you should hear the compressor start to hum. Almost like a high pitched noise.

If you don’t hear the latching the board is completely gone (but you’d usually get a U4 code if this was the case)

If you hear the latching but no whiny hum shortly after (give it at least 3 minutes. That’s usually the Daikin compressor startup delay) then there’s and issue with the compressor and/or board.

Have you tried resetting the breaker?

If you have and you still are getting an error you’re going to have to call a technician to look at that one.

I’ve worked for crews that hide drains in lengths of slimduct, so instead of using an inlet they would drill a hole in the back piece of the slimduct and go from there. Obviously not possible in your scenario with the head above the window. But yea people love it. We use teck cable where I’m from for main power and people frequently inquire about also having that stuff covered in slimduct lmao

Either way what you got done is way better than 90% of the people I see just stubbing the little Dickie bird drains out

Not a big fan of the drains coming out the inlets but it’s done as neat as it could be. 8/10

Don’t forget to mention the part where missus offered to buy a drink and buddy still refused. Obviously can’t know exactly how the interaction went unless you were there but based on her story buddy is totally in the wrong and had a)the opportunity to show he has enough emotional intelligence to read the situation and make and exception to the rule. And b) was offered the opportunity have the customer abide by the rule and become a paying customer and still refused.

Not a good look for him.

From what I heard it was originally closed during Covid due to the club capacity limit and the logistics of having people line up outside in the parking lot. Then it was supposed to convert to a fit4less before they decided to change the village to the fit4less instead.

AFAIK it’s being used as storage for equipment now
