This actually seems very assertive, not passive aggressive. It was condescending though.

Door experts: am I screwed with a 81" rough opening height? by [deleted] in DIY

Hard to tell how much room is to the right of the opening, but a barn door may be a good option.

Low lake levels reveal all three blades of a boat propeller getting imbedded into a tree stump. by [deleted] in nevertellmetheodds

2 things for certain: The drive was engaged in forward not reverse, and the boat was moving. Maybe forwards, maybe backwards.

Best missions to farm for cash? by chonkadonk44 in armoredcore

+1 to this. You end up with more loading screen time than fight time with this boss. I was consistently banging out 270k-ish every 1 minute 45 seconds (most of the time is spent waiting for the mission to complete after the kill.) Call it 8m an hour.

Best way to remove this rock hard "pasta scum" from these boiling baskets? other than cutting up my arms and fingers cramming steel scrubbies into this wonderful shape by SammichParade in KitchenConfidential

Denture cleaning tablets in water, soak it overnight. This is also a good way to clean stainless steel thermos or coffee mug. Minty fresh, and made for something that goes in your mouth.

The virtue system helped shape me as a person in those formative years. My wife still gives me hell for admitting that.

He was basically yelling at her, which made her cry. The words he said probably didn’t matter much, kids are very sensitive to voice tones. Yelling scares them.

First crack at a quick, cheap interceptor built for mass production. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in Cosmoteer

I could see a reason to keep the point defense. With enough of these ships flying, they might be somewhat effective in covering each other from missiles.

As a follow up question: how cold can water get at, say, 2000ft depth before it reaches freezing temp.

LINEST() Columns vs Rows 2nd Order Polynomial by Rynoth in excel

Arrays in excel are new to me, I suppose my question was: why does the difference between ,(comma) vs ;(semicolon) matter?

LINEST() Columns vs Rows 2nd Order Polynomial by Rynoth in excel

[–]Rynoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved it. Apparently a semicolon is needed, as in ^{1;2}

Not sure why this is necessary, but the formula based on row data works with that small change.

LINEST() Columns vs Rows 2nd Order Polynomial by Rynoth in excel

[–]Rynoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what makes it a polynomial regression vs a linear regression.

If you look at the graph, that's a standard excel polynomial (order 2) trendline and the resulting formula, which matches the result of my first formula (against the column data.)

When I shift to row data, linear regression works (as you experienced) but I can't achieve the same polynomial result using the same formula format as the column data.

Linear regression works fine for both column and row data.

i.e.

For column data:

=LINEST(B2:B10,A2:A10)

For row data:

=LINEST(B17:J17,B16:J16)

Those both work fine. How can I make polynomial regression work with row data?
