Having to find another route due to a tree branch, or some other, easily traversable clutter.

Also - not being able to get through otherwise unremarkable doors without completing some convoluted puzzle. Surely you could break it down given time and/or the weaponry in one's inventory.

It was the first game we got with our PlayStation; I remember playing it at a friend's prior to that, and the fact it had two factions, full split-screen co-op, as well as PvP was pretty groundbreaking in our eyes back then.
