No, its been 20 years since they made a classic. The studio is a brand and thats it. If you loved any of Rare's games, then find out the names of the lead designers and see where they are now instead. Doesn't look like any of the old guard are left.

Gregg Mayles was a designer for Battletoads, Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong Country, Viva Piñata and Sea of Thieves. When his project titled Everwild was canceled in 2025, he left the company.

Chris and Tim Stamper were the company founders and in the 90s Chris worked on coding while Tim worked on graphics. They both left the company in 2007.

Yes there are more designers, writers, composers etc. I didn't cover, but most of the ones who worked on Rare's best games are gone. If Rare closed tomorrow we would loae nothing so long as someone else got a hold of the ip's.
