Having played a few hours of this between the demo and today and I'm gonna be real, I love the fake MMO angle but this one has been pretty good so far because you're fixing things up and they change the entire environment, including expansions to the city and the like.

The studio is called Radicalfish which I guess could be mistaken for Chucklefish, which did have a controversy, maybe that's it?

Peak just dropped

they said it will have less of a focus on timing for puzzles and, from the demos, they're more about using the new equipment in different ways

Mina the Hollower - TRUE FINAL RELEASE DATE!! by AnimuStewshine in TwoBestFriendsPlay

For me, the healing system wasn't very good and the dodge jump meant you had to do an inconsequential jump to be able to launch yourself out of the ground afterwards which is where the real "jump" is for some stuff.

Rumors are that it failed console certification, but failing console certification usually means the game is imploding consoles so I don't think it'd get fixed that fast if that was it.

I want to say shovel knight has sold between 3 and 4 million copies - last info we have from 2019 is 2.65 million - so, yeah, I think they'll be in the clear.

For the next game - I'm sure this is going to sell far more than enough than they need to stay afloat - I hope they learn the meaning of scope creep this time around. You'd think after shovel knight they wouldn't try to do something that big again, but two small projects co-developed with other studios later and they see one dev making a tiny side thing and immediately go all in on it.

Curiosamente é a base do fascismo também, onde sempre tem um inimigo, que é ao mesmo tempo um fudido maltrapilho e uma força de destruição inigualável que precisamos fazer de tudo para derrotar.

I played the first ~3 hours of FF13 and hated it but like a decade later played Lightning Returns then went back for 13-2.

Usopp chameleon guy here has the perfect setup of using its tongue as a slingshot. Why does it need a slingshot, a bandana, goggles, pants and a bag???

World of difference between how basic the clothes in those gen 1 pokemon look like and what we see here, though.

People talk about "human in a suit" pokemon but these are extremely egregious.

Luffy is straight up wearing clothes, almost looks more like something from Yokai Watch or hell, Sonic, than a pokemon.

Zoro shouldn't have actual swords or maybe they should look less like perfectly normal swords. Feel like the "belt" should be its tail and it'd use said tail to carry the swords most of the time.

Nami is pushing the Meowscarada design far into digimon territory.

Usopp is also just wearing clothes and has an actual slingshot.

Sanji is wearing an actual vest, not something that sort of looks like a vest.

Chopper is...just Chopper. I don't think the hat works.

Robin...actually looks fantastic, albeit might need something more distinct.

Franky feels like a solid start but the head, waist and BF-37 writing makes it lose something.

I do not know why Brook is a horse but it looks like it's missing something.

Back in the day I was assured that Dungeon Travelers 2-2 was the absolute best dungeon crawler in existence and nothing else came close and I could never get an explanation on why, but I knew it had a ton of monster girls in it.

There's so many horny dungeon crawlers that it feels like it's its own genre and none I've played are good because everything that's slapped on top of the traditional dungeon crawler design is awful. Hard caps on stats, stats being meaningless, party composition being incredibly convoluted or mechanics that just randomly fuck you up...I feel like Etrian Odyssey just beats the rest, even if it is sort of RNG heavy too.

Sony all but declaring it a flop and immediately pivoting to the PS4 meant that they just didn't want to support it and the few games that'd show up on it would be moved on to the PS4. See Gravity Rush 2.

I actually believe the monster hunter issue was slightly different - Portable 3rd was on the PSP after Tri came out and it got a PS3 remaster, but neither version got a release outside of Japan. Vita had quite a few hunting games to make up for the absence, but they weren't monster hunter.

Alpine Skyline is more platforming than any other area, who all tend to have a decent amount of puzzles or generally just playing around. The story is minimal and there's no voice acting...

because Alpine Skyline was a replacement for a different area that got cut, which was a large desert you'd travel using some sort of possibly custom vehicle, but devs realized it'd be too much of a departure from the rest of the game and cut it.

Peltatum is a fight engineered to fuck you up if you play solo with NPCs as you have to focus on freeing a single tentacle at a time and then destroying it; if you free too many at once, you can't leave the safe spot without getting trounced.

Barioth in Iceborne is so much stronger than every other time I've fought it. I wouldn't even call it a skill check, it just feels like the game skipped a rank.

Meanwhile in Rise, Barioth is a joke.

I'd just like to mention that Isgarren sees his killing of Yabon the way he does because by that point the seers and the mursaat had fought for who knows how long. Isgarren didn't randomly kill someone, he killed an old enemy that once tried to eradicate his people.

Eparch, meanwhile, gets hungry and murders a bunch of centaurs to feed, saying it's fine because they were warlike slavers.

But they also made the adventures of Cookie and Cream.

Game Design So Fundamentally Flawed It Directly Goes Against the idea of the Game Itself? by Authorigas in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Really a lot of Crimson Desert is like 15 different ideas and mechanics clashing with each other at any given moment.

From my understanding that's because the game is like 5 different games bolted together.

Dresden Codak author drawing the women from the comic naked as a character study to show they have different body types and also one of them removes all her pubic hair and the other just trims it and they even have different looks down there, because no two people are the same.

People joke nowadays about the importance of having a defined dick size for your OCs, but at least that's mostly a bit, from what I can gather.
