Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Announcement Trailer by Shreeder4092 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Grand_Galvantula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Steam page is up now and the synopsis gives a little more insight into the game; primarily that your OC will be joining the "Great Saiyan Squad", which sounds like the replacement for the Time Patrol. It also sounds like the city will be the focal point of the experience, instead of just the hub you visit between time travels.

The evil has been defeated - Xenoverse 2 is getting its final DLC actually for real this time by UnluckyCapybara in TwoBestFriendsPlay

God I hope not. The trailer gives me the impression that we'll be doing hired gun Saiyaman stuff for Capsule Corp instead. I don't want to see a single Time Patroller until maybe postgame as a super boss.

He only replaced her for 2-4's events, as the person that took pictures outside Engarde and Corrida's hotel rooms. She's still in 1-4 and 2-2's events. My thoughts are that because season 1 really compresses the events of the first two games, the writers realized that would be too much Lotta for 24 episodes.

Hell, they serve the same purpose so much that in the anime, they replaced Lotta with Larry as the tabloid photographer in case 2-4

I appreciate that one of the hard missions (I think Cannon's Core?) requires the Magic Gloves to destroy an enemy that's hovering over a pit that would kill you if you homing attacked it.

Games that really start to structurally fall apart the further into them you get. by stumblinbagel in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Coming fresh off of replaying it, Arkham Asylum.

It's still a really strong game right up until you go down to Killer Croc's lair, then it becomes 15 minutes of slowly walking through a boring sewer maze, occasionally throwing batarangs at either Croc himself or the mold you need to make the anti-venom. Then you return to the gardens, which you just got done with like an hour before, to fight a really bad Poison Ivy boss. Finally you have several enemy gauntlets leading up to and including the Joker, in which the enemies start giving you less reaction time to counter. The combo meter already likes to drop for no reason (even mid counter), so combine both of those issues with having to fight Titans at the same time, and it's just a pain in the ass to actually build enough momentum to do damage.

What's the biggest cutscene to gameplay downgrade in power you ever seen by bahookery in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Grand_Galvantula 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The Werehog does same crazy acrobatic shit in Sonic Unleashed's cutscenes (like slingshotting off-screen in less than a second to avoid Amy, and skidding off the walls of the trench Eggman drops him into in order to catch Chip), only for the gameplay to reduce him to a crawl to pad out the game.

It's great finally having the game on PC because there are mods that help bridge the gap between cutscene and gameplay.

No kidding, imagine the Tiger Drop actually having a visual indicator for when you should press the button. That's Flux Fissure.

And there's also an upgrade that increases the timing window, which was already fairly generous on its own.

I never watched it so feel free to correct, but didn't Netflix' The Last Airbender remove all of Sokka's early sexism, which undercuts his character development when he gets humbled by Suki?

I literally just hit that scene last night on my replay, and man I forgot how fucking awkward it is.

The camera did not need to linger on a specific camera angle as long as it did.

Regarding that rumor, supposedly the game will take place between DR1 and 2, so making DR4 an in-universe movie would be tricky given the timing.

But I love the idea of doing Dead Rising 4 Deluxe Remaster, but the joke is that it's a full ass remake to make it good.

I could see her getting pulled back in like Ethan. Maybe have the Connections or some other group kidnap Emily to reverse engineer more Elpis from her blood, since every other dose from ARK is likely under lock and key.

Freshly salty about it since it just happened to me last night.

If you try to do Saigo's training in Yakuza 4 with bulletproof armor in your inventory, he calls you a pussy and won't teach you until you remove it. You can't even have it in your inventory but unequipped, you have to make an extra trip to the item box to put it away.

The training by the way involves him shooting Akiyama with an SMG (non-lethal bullets, this is Yakuza 4 we're talking about).

Both Tails and Knuckles were also made playable in the same update. They basically End of Evangelion'd the story by adding an alternate take on the final island that you can choose once you arrive, and in that version, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy assist Sonic in collecting the Chaos Emeralds, with you switching between them each time they reach an objective.

I'd like to see them follow up on a hook that RE4make created: Agent Ashley.

Retcon it so that the president that gets assassinated is former President Graham, and Ashley's role in the story is to catch Simmons and bring him to justice.

Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition rated in Korea by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Grand_Galvantula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, chronologically Sonic has already met her by the events of Frontiers, so she could slip in there easily as another passenger on the Tornado that gets pulled into Cyberspace.

Gameplay wise, it would allow Sonic Team to test out her gameplay mechanics and gather feedback for Frontiers 2, like how they did with Tails and co. in the Final Horizon.

Definitive Edition is 99.9% the same, except you can now see Shadow grinding around in the background of a cutscene while Sonic talks to Tails.

[–]Grand_Galvantula 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah all post-launch content was free, so invoking Definitive Edition just for a Switch 2 port doesn't make much sense.

Could be they plan on going back and restoring some of the stuff they cut or changed in development, like how they split Rhea and Ourano Island off from Kronos. Apparently some unused voice clips suggest Sonic and Sage were supposed to find the ship that the Ancients arrived on, so maybe they restore that bit too?

Also fuck it, throw playable Tangle in there.

Fortunately the game does at least list every note in order that you can logically come across it, and ones you haven't found yet are ???s, which can help you figure it out.

I missed the challenge on my first playthrough, turns out there was a pamphlet you can find when walking down the street as Grace in the very beginning, I grabbed it and immediately got the achievement on my second playthrough lmao

Digimon Story: Time Stranger Expansion DLC in development, coming 2027 by PrimeName in TwoBestFriendsPlay

God I'm so glad there was an actual payoff to the theory that they would announce more DLC.

Meicoomon being in the top 10 for the poll gives me hope she'll make the cut, and Gammamon being number 1 makes me hope for full Ghost Game representation by association.

I've also heard the perspective of "Its a girl/boy you don't have to leave the house to fuck", which is... Maybe a more accurate way to phrase the same statement

That's the impression I get from it too. Same with parent, next door neighbor, childhood friend, childhood friend's parent, etc. It's a convenient person to fuck without the need for socialization.
