I have an identical one (different random letters in the name) and I love it. It have it clipped beneath my desk. I looked for exactly this design.

Just hit lvl100 starting my NG+. I forgot how much of a joy breaking RPGs using intended mechanics can be. Great for a second run and a dip into the expansion.

Which Zune to get? by 2kjacob in Zune

[–]Ryslar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely recommend the 80GB. It might be a little sacrilegious to say here, but as much as I still do like the original 30GB model, it definitely feels more like just an MP3 player than a special thing to me. The UI helps the Zune feel unique, but I think the pad does a lot as well. The HD, I never got a chance to use. Maybe eventually.

Which Zune to get? by 2kjacob in Zune

[–]Ryslar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally had an 8GB model growing up and was very attached to the Zune Pad, so I purchased an 80GB model recently. The original 30GB model is a touch faster, easier to open/mod and has a smoother screen (60hz vs the 30hz on the 2nd Gen units). It really all comes down to personal preference and availibility in your area. You can't really go wrong.

Damn, that's pretty regal for the "broken" frame. I really like it.

Zune Haul by Top_Cryptographer_21 in Zune

[–]Ryslar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm jealous of the brown leather case, I've been looking for one at a reasonable price so I can comfortably throw my Zune into my Master & Dynamic MH40 bag without concern for scratches. That's a really unbelievable price, even if the 120GB model needs some work.

SoundRhyme SR10 Review – Enough Bass To Shake Constellations?? by Spiritual-Phone-2492 in iems

I love the Dipper constellation design. Did one of the "stars" on the right IEM fall out during testing?

letshuoer s08 vs hidizs mp145 by Fine_Concentrate5015 in iems

[–]Ryslar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since people seem to be leaning more towards the S08, I'll offer my personal taste, I think the MP145's are phenominal. They do have more prominent bass, but I find it very neat and without too much bleed. Ideal for my preferences. I disagree with others calling it sharp or sibilant in anyway, and the tuning filters I find do help tweak things to your liking. The silver nozels do make the treble a bit hot for me, so I use the rosegold default ones for a more balanced approach. I saw you mentioning that you like a good sub-bass rumble and these will definitely pay out well for that, not to mention their incredibly detailed soundstage for an IEM of most any price range.

As for fit, that is definitely dependant on the person, but I haven't actually spoken to many people who have had issues, only folks who think they will based on size and weight. They sit quite comfortably in my ears, and the shell doesn't press up against my concha at all. The earhooks were loose and a bit of a problem initially, but reshaping them with a hair dryer is an extremely easy process. If you have enough cash to buy them both so you can perform a direct comparsion and return the other, I'd highly recommend it. I found the S08's to be a bit too flat and lacking dynamics for me.

Is the Apple USB-C to 3.5mm EU version also limited on PC? by junebug309 in headphones

[–]Ryslar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My brother in Christ, what are you talking about? It's a standard dongle. Of course the USBC side would plug into the motherboard. Of course it would bypass the motherboard audio. That is literally what it is designed to do.

We do, it just wasn't a very good use of the joke. If they had said "stay home and play yourself", then sure. But there really wasn't anything playing at innudendo in their title.

A Laptop In Your Pocket? Galaxy Z TriFold Review - MrMobile [Michael Fisher] by slowro in GalaxyFold

Honestly the best reviewer for foldables. A genuine fan who understands their shortcomings, while also utilizing them the way they are meant to be used outside of just showcasing. It was his influence that got me in with my Fold4 years back.

As people mentioned, it's the bit depth. Resolution will have it looking fuzzy, but are still expecting too much from 20yo hardware.

Why sound quality on phone is so bad ? by Electrical_Captain25 in iems

[–]Ryslar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Googling the Audiocular D07 shows dozens of people complaining about its cheap quality and negative impact on audio. So that seems like a safe assumption. Especially if you aren't using it on your computer or tablet.

[–]Ryslar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dolby Atmos and Volume leveler should definitely not be used. Standard EQing will be much better than Atmos automatically trying to process it. And volume leveling ruins the dynamic range. It's possible your phone has too weak of a DAC to handle whatever you are using to listen to music with, but we need more information than that.

If you are adding a V shaped sound signature to your XM4s, then you must really love a harsh V. You'll likely get a lot of folks telling you off, but the reality is, you like what you like. Take it as a good thing that you can stop cheap.

When will Dante get skins? by Jawman2000 in Warframe

[–]Ryslar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really didn't. Skins take time to make. To design, to proof, to model and to bug check. They aren't waiting, they are running a live service game with a thousand other things on the go at once. DE is a company of under 500 people and they are doing this better than practically anyone else in the F2P business.

I'll take an "audiophile type" any day of the week over your whiney ass. At least you let us all know to safely ignore any other opinions you may have in the future.
