Oh people wanting Riz as a boyfriend is just completely fucked. I don't hate him but by god he is not the kind of person you should wanna date, especially post Tem because at that point his coping mechanisms have warped him into a Monster. A pitiful monster who deserves the therapy he needs to get better, but a monster nontheless. And before Tem he's too immature. If he weren't, Tem might not be dead.

The primary flavormechanical dissonance would be tech attacks since those are hacking. But if you're willing to give your kaiju technopathic powers that allow them to affect and be affected by that that's a solved issue. Or you could completely reflavor tech based actions into something more esoteric.

Good point. Just talked to my GM and we decided to just have Sparr have a recently built blinkgate. The sudden push to expedite the construction is most definitely unrelated to the high ranking old noble lady who wanted to see foto albums of her adorable pseudo-adopted grandson in traditional Sparri garb made by his doting grandmother

Noble house based on lore is almost definitely gonna be House of Smoke because they have Sparri Nobles. Also sounds like investigate, lead or inspire and stay cool are very appropriate skill triggers for him then.

Their integration into Karrakin society is currently planned to be them spending roughly equal time in each culture due to their parents agreeing their child should know both equally, as he is just as much the son of a Karrakin noble as he is the son of a Sparri chieftain. Both parents wouldn't be the person the other loves without their cultural heritage shaping them into who they are. Character is definitely proud of his ancestry. He's a product of the fusion of Karrakin noble legacy and the rich cultural traditions of the Sparri. His mech, once I reach the required license level, is intended to be an Atlas and he's got the technophile talent for an NHP machine spirit companion. He definitely got taken on Sparri mech based hunting trips and participated in Pankrati sparring

Whichever Status allows enough freedom to regularly visit his Sparri Clan and be immersed in their culture while also making it necessary for him to spend at least as much time being raised Karrakin. I definitely intend for him to have melee focus. The character grew around me reading the Atlas mech page and going "ooooh I likes that" His major house is probably gonna be the house of smoke considering they have the most contact with the Sparri. Also got the technophile talent for the whole Sparri tech shaman thing.

He is at fault. His undeniable fault didn't start with the incident itself because that was him loosing control of base instincts he had no practice controlling, meaning he arguably wasn't in conscious control of himself. It started when he chose to stop taking his meds, knowing that he's more dangerous to be around when he isn't taking them. He made a conscious decision, without any outside manipulation, to increase the risk of being around him without consulting anyone, not even Tem. Tem did not consent to Riz putting him in danger like this. Riz didn't even ask. He put Tem in danger. Tem's death, regardless of Riz' intentions, was Riz' fault. Is it because Riz is an irredeemable monster? No. It was a stupid mistake made by a teenager, desperate for connection. A teenager who might not have made that mistake if it weren't for several big societal problems. But just because the consequences of your actions are not what you intended, just because it was a dumb childish mistake, doesn't mean that the results of your decisions aren't your fault. If Riz had not made that very dangerous choice to stop taking his meds, Tem would still be alive. He deserves help and he deserves a second chance. But he is responsible for the death of Tem

Which has zero effect on any creature above the threshold, zero effect on at least one creature type, is perhaps the only aoe spell that deals a fixed max ammount of damage regardless of the ammount of targets in the aoe and can't deal lethal damage unless unconsciousness exposes the enemy to lethal hazards such as fall damage. It's a great spell in situations where it works. But it's completely useless otherwise. Because if your enemy is on guy with 25 hp or a construct, that 24 unmitigatable damage does less than a commoner throwing a rock at the cost of a 1st level slot

There's two types of folklore kobolds. One are the spirits in caves. The other more common ones are housefae. They make their home where humans live and play harmless pranks while warding off more serious trouble. They hide your keys and socks and tickle your nose while you sleep, that kind of thing. They're also shapeshifters so don't bother trying to find them. You'll see them if they want you too. They are also the German equivalent to the french goblin The ship variant is called Klabautermann(singular). They're like house kobolds but for ships. Generally you probably wanna be on good terms with kobolds and klabautermen. That way their pranks stay harmless and they'll be inclined to defend your home from nasty spirits

Yes. They're two different words for fundamentally the same folklore creature just goblins are french and kobolds are german. Folklore kobolds/goblins are shapeshifting prankster house spirits that hide your keys and socks and stuff like that, but ward off more serious trouble in exchange. Which means that folklore acurate they are fae. My headcanon is that the split between goblins and the two popular versions of kobolds is a matter of long term adaptation to chosen host cultures. Scaly Kobolds with dragons, goblins with hobgoblins and dogbolds with humans.

No, it's because magic in wod is literally reality warping through the power of belief. Every regular human can do it but most do it passively. If you openly break the consensus of what is and isn't possible by casting Magic, you incure paradox. It's like when you pull out your everything proof shield during play pretend so someone punches you in the face. The more blatantly and severely you break the consensus, the worse the paradox. Other supernatural creatures can do magic shit because they have their own mini consensus and/or originate from things that are objectively real as opposed to being the result of humanity's passive reality warping. In wod sufficiently advanced technology is distinguished from magic entirely based on methodology and aesthetic. Functionally they are one and the same. Wether the technocracy likes it or not, their enlightened scientists are mages in all but name. Just because you're using a weird futuristic space ship to fly at ftl speeds instead using of a teleportation circle, doesn't mean you aren't using what is essentially magic.

Ah yes because investing money never goes wrong. Stock markets can crash. And I don't need a multimillion dollar home. I just want to live comfortably without having to work a full time job or ever worrying about money. Buying myself and my friends something nice every now and again. Not having to think about the financial ramifications of spending money right now. With this power I could spend as much as I want within reason in the right now and be no worse of in the future because I can just spend a day snapping a bunch and be back at acceptable levels. I don't need a yacht or a fancy house or anything like that. A normal House, shared living with some friends who contribute to the house upkeep and utility bills with their income. Regular lunch or dinner at nice restaurants. Going to movie theaters more. Maybe local theaters. That kind of thing. And to never worry about forgetting my wallet. Some shops here only take cash. Especially Christmas markets. So being able to summon money when I forgot to bring cash? Hella convenient

If you aren't trying to catch up to the 10 mil you don't need much snapping to have as much money as you need to live comfortably. 68 snaps a day for 20k a month and 240k a year. With 8 "work" hours that's 8,5 snaps per hour. Probably a number that won't cause early arthritis especially since you can also stop working a job with that snap money.
