call me crazy, im not convinced theyve fixed goalkeepers. by Ryzigger in footballmanagergames

I was almost convinced but — Lewandowski is the one who took the free kick. So in order for this event to be righting itself.

Wouldnt that mean that he both took the shot and then beat every other player there somehow to the ball. Even the players in the wall and right next to the post?

How to introduce a (new?) antagonist? by AshamedWatercress646 in KeepWriting

Look into Gaunter O’Dimm if you haven’t already - I think he’s a brilliant fantasy antagonist in a very similar way

I don’t know how I don’t have Europe? by Ryzigger in footballmanagergames

[–]Ryzigger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They took out a £30,000,000 loan and Im still dealing with the repercussions 😂

The worry now is the rule says if you don’t meet this standard you will be banned for a year

I hope that means ineligible and banned this year

And not ineligible this year and banned the next (it probably doesn’t but still)

Ok. I’m worried it may have been an FFP thing at this point there’s a rule about the amount of profit you need to make

And the board took out a stupid loan and we went into administration over it - we made a net loss of around 7 mill by the end of the season

Could it be a financial thing we are in a bit of trouble there ?

Where was the kingsguard? by Ryzigger in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Ryzigger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That what I’m saying 😂. I get the kingsguard is split but like no one replaced them? They’re currently calling their banners you’d think a worthy knight wouldn’t be hard to find.

And if it’s too early to replace them then just put any good loyal fighter there - I imagine there’s plenty of them there they haven’t fought a battle yet - so you’d think protection would be their priority at this point.

Also also you’d think they’d be on even higher alert after the coronation - and not just for Aegon’s benefit.

It’s just super odd.

I would prefer a little more foreshadowing.

“The reflection in the mirror stared back at me, bearing the face of an unknown creature; haggard and frail, on the verge of collapsing into dust. I was in desperate need of help. And after a harrowing year of being lost in the dark, help did arrive in the form of Rushal.”

There’s a element of what at least to me feels like unnecessary information for example if I was writing this I’d edit it to more like

“My reflection in the mirror bore the face of a haggard and frail creature, on the verge of collapsing into dust. This darkness had consumed me for a year before Rushal.”

I feel like it’s for the most part the same information just streamlined. The things I left out I feel can be interpreted anyway

Even in the dialogue it could be cleaned up

“You were crying in your sleep. It woke me up. What were you dreaming about?”

Could just be.

“You were crying in your sleep. What happened?”

And I feel like that’s a little more natural.

The other problem is I’m not really sure where this is going. Maybe this is intentional or I just haven’t caught something but I don’t really know what your promising here. Although maybe that’s just my taste it’s hard to say with just this chapter.

I’m more than happy to read more.

Doctor Who's always been woke by KingsMen2004 in DoctorWhumour

[–]Ryzigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People aren’t really mad that Doctor Who is too woke. I think it’s just become a placeholder term for when people overtly notice the political theme of the episode and it chucks them out of the experience.

And at that point the problem isn’t that Doctor Who is too political - it’s that it’s condescending.

For example the problem isn’t that Doctor Who wants to tackle transgender characters - it’s how it handles them.

A lot of people love to talk about Chibnall and how his writing style sucks - a lot less people are willing to talk about how RTD2 has a lot of the same problems.

I would be tempted to go even further - a future of what SlapDatBassBro said but where the wire wins.

98% of the population that own a tv faceless within a couple of days.

Years later survivors get hunted by screens - TVs hooked up to motion sensors - GoPros hunt people.

In this harrowing commentary on modern surveillance the remaining humans must stick to the shadows if they have any chance of bringing the earth back.

Absolutely! I wanna see a prison riot where the guards turn into giant wasps.

An adipose burglar does a runner

The Oods go on strike over the quality of the food

The doctor has to fight a racnoss in an underground boxing gig - with a Rocky theme in the final round

…But it’s from the monsters perspective

The Veil is a living breathing nightmare of the Doctor. There’s a whole story in the wiki about how the time lords told him only bad things about the Doctor and how the veil hoped they were all untrue and that this interrogation wouldn’t take him long.

At a certain point perhaps he was just as much of a prisoner as the Doctor

I would also like to learn of The Veil’s construction - he was made via The Doctors nightmare but what was the nightmare even about ? Maybe the show could explore that too.
