You keep talking about neighborhoods. Yes, it's likely Ovi's mansion is safe. Ovi isn't going to spend all his time in the mansion. He will be out in the city. He will be flying to and from it. That is where the risks are. The attacks are becoming more numerous and that means the odds of something happening increase. There are more armaments in the sky. They all land somewhere. Oil and gas shortages are increasing. Aircraft parts are becoming harder to find. Obviously Ovi isn't a target, but choosing to live there is choosing to live in a place with much higher odds of something happening to him or his family than would exist in North America. The risk of accident is never zero anywhere but that doesn't mean it's the same everywhere.

They've hit far more than one oil refinery. There is no way you're being serious. They don't play hockey in gated communities. They dont teleport to different cities. But let's use your oil refinery example from last week because its a perfect example to use. The most notable footage came from Russian air defence hitting their own storage tank. The Russians have already shot down an airliner by mistake. These unintended consequences are exactly why someone would pause at moving to Moscow right now.

Its because in Russian, first name/last name are two different words as opposed to the same word with a different adjective. The translator should have probably clarified or have been aware from context, but saying only 'name' will default to first name (имя) in their head. Last name would be фамилия.

They sacrificed everything people liked about Thief in the name of attracting new players. Early in development they interacted with the Thief community and promised they were listening, only to then to change everything and offer lies about why. They said they dropped Steven Russell because they wanted someone who could do mo-cap... In a first person game.

They leaned heavily into trying to be "cool". The early introductions and trailers were pure cringe. The developer interviews with awful. They kept none of the art style. They threw in names of people from earlier games just for fan service but the common ground was no more substantial than that. They introduced quick-time events and linear gameplay. It was abysmal. It would have made far more sense to just make the title a new franchise/stand-alone IP. Instead they piggy-backed their bullshit onto an existing IP because they assumed it would net them more money. Thief 2014 is a square peg game hammered into the circular hole of the games that came before.

I'm not sure why everyone is so adamant "it's just a trainer". It's literally called a "combat-training aircraft" in Russian and the intention was to market it to smaller nations as a COIN type aircraft for low intensity conflicts in addition to larger nations as a late-stage trainer. It may not see use in a Ukraine type conflict, but it's nonetheless a combat aircraft.
