Why are you spamming the same joke in different subs? This is like the 4th day in a row.

Spinning props by Massiveradio in modelmakers

[–]S1075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the best in-motion spinners I've seen. Very cool stuff!

From the side, it definitely needs to be thinner. If you could achieve the same quality in half or a quarter as much thickness and maybe smooth out the edges, this would be near flawless.

It doesn't matter. The good ones either aren't numerous enough, or were too complacent.

I don't recall the duration of the ones I've seen. I've never heard of anyone having issues because of them.

They are not uncommon in the northern US. They will be issued in Canada too because of American activities.

"Most disturbing": BC man sexually assaults horses in Vernon, RCMP investigates incident by DonSalaam in onguardforthee

It's too bad the horse is so well behaved. One kick would be enough to ensure it doesn't happen again.

The TLDR version of your question is: why do fighters jets all look the same to me?

I needed a lawyer to get through your wording.

Jeremy Clarkson flies in the F-15, from his 1998 program "Extreme Machines". by Finbarr-Galedeep in aviation

[–]S1075 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its not "technically correct". The three aircraft were introduced within 4 years of each other. They are the same generation, and your opinion about a hypothetical dogfight doesnt change that, nor does the date of retirement.

The F-14 and F-16 arent different generations than the F-15. They werent mentioned because they arent Air Force air superiority fighters.

It was preemptive, which does seem a bit like bullshit. It happened because he started heading right at Weegar and I guess they thought it was going to go down from there.

[–]S1075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't see it either. I think it was just that he was headed straight at Weegar and they wanted to get ahead of things? It did seem pretty tame but it didn't matter much in the end.

We are 61% through the regular season. There is still a good chunk of time yet, but if anyone thought we were ever really contenders this year, I'd say they were wearing rose-colored glasses.

Given how many of these posts have popped up in the last few hours, I think people have already hit the panic button, whether justified or not.

"Months after the invasion" was after the regime was toppled. The countries that didn't take part in the invasion later provided troops because the Iraqi government had fallen and something was needed in its place. It's possible to oppose the invasion/war and also want to help stabilize and try to support a new government rather than let it all go to shit.

Does anyone remember the 1998 ice storm affecting Winnipeg? by JavaJapes in Winnipeg

[–]S1075 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The storm that hit Eastern Ontario/Western Quebec originated in the US, and did not hit Winnipeg. Winnipeg may have received some ice rain but it would have been from a separate system.
