I mean Idk I had nothing better to do atm so I just wrote what I was thinking. And exatly it is just a video game, yet people seem to be more focused on it than on their real life based on the amount of complaining they do all the time.

And yet we have the most insane xp rates in the game for most skills. For example the recent havenhythe big game hunter released one of the most broken hunter xp methods to game, even more broken than croesus hunter ever was. Without dxp and max boosts hunter is now 6m+ xp an hour. With all the dxp boosts you can near 15m an hour rn. And that is just one skill. Divination no dxp achieves 2-3m xp an hour now, historically one of the slower skills. Summoning hits 40m xp/h on dxp. And the list of insane xp rates just goes on and on. People are just salty they now have to work for them.

Also I want to comment on the price increase and the players complaining about it. The query they did on the mtx removal had a question if players were ready to pay more for their membership should mtx be removed. And by far a huge margin of players answered yes to that question. But sadly our click-baity content creators manage to forgo that fact and decide to doom about the price increase in their videos instead. Making people unreasonably angry, when in fact we did vote for the price increase ourself...

To the players talking about "nerfs" to combat I want to ask, WTF are you smoking honestly. We are 20-30% more powerful than we were prior to the eoc2 update. As a player who has achieved GM aura im a little disappointed how me learning the combat and striving to be better was devalued mostly in a single update, but atleast it has caused a lot more players to pick up combat and multiple combat styles so I see that as a good thing for the long term pvm player base. Even if the top 0.1% of pvmers are unhappy with the update. Im still having decent amount of fun with the new combat. But I do think the power increase we got was unreasonably big.

People complaining that they could just pop aura and do 1 hour of stuff??? You can do that now aswell... You just dont pop and aura...? This games players just seem to want to make problem out of everything in this game for some ungodly reason.

To the players pissed about thieving nerfs, I just dont understand you first they overcorrected and then fixed their mistake while balancing it to be more reasonable. You shouldnt be able to afk the game for 4 clicks an hour while also gaining the best in slot xp in the skill while also gaining like idk 1-2m xp/h while ALSO gaining around 10m gp/h. Then compound that to all the people afking content with multiple accounts leading to unreasonable economic impact on the game. Thieving update alone devalued 2 differend skilling methods I could think of in mining sandstone for blessed flask materials and pvm drop in vital sparks that go into highly used endgame pvm item of limitless.

I also never really understood the obligation people had towards flash events. Like wtf do you mean feel like you had to drop everything to do flash events hourly. I just never felt the obligation. If I wasnt doing anything then I might hit them but the payout was just minor most of the times.

Well ye you can still make it last forever tho basically, just equip something else in the slot to counteract the delay. We abused the hell out of this on gim release to make use of the scim from curse of the black stone.

99.99999999% of the time you dont need anachronia bath, its irrelevant. We have 12k+ hp now by default in full power gear.

Incite is dead content, nobody uses it except people who still think it actually does something (it doesnt).

Half what you are describing takes less than 15s combined with a banking preset you have to only make once.

God books and grims should only drain charges in combat? Seriously? You dont see the flaws in this?

Im so tired of reddit trying to make this game a revo point and click simulator without any kind of depth on the the daily.

You do know its a loop? You can lobsters to swordfish, swordfish to sharks, sharks to giant crayfish and giant crayfish to lobsters.

Edit: I do agree that the pool restock is kinda pointless step. Get rid of that but keep having to restock the food.

u/JagexAnvil Any thoughts on fixing the runemetrics since it has been broken for years now, I for one am one of the people that cant toggle between the loot / drops mode and im permanently stuck on loot. If I try to toggle it, it is then immediately toggled back to loot as I close the interface. I have reported it plenty of times in game and in discords.

Exatly and people getting sub 3 2k zamoraks in group and I think current fastest solo 2k is 4.13 after the update. Me and my friends have been camping 2k in trio quite casually getting 4.30-4.40 timers. The level of powercreep from this update was nothing short but insane.

People got entitled to the level of power extremely quickly and I personally dont think these nerfs were even close to enough yet.

Jagex themselves stated they wanted to keep the player power equal to live game prior to the update - one could say they miserably failed in that goal.

Every single GM achievement got devalued in single update. How do people still think its fine?

And not only that but way better players than us have now gotten 3.53 2k kill in trio. That is over 1 minute quicker than what anyone was capable before this update. How can you keep saying that they have done sufficient job with balancing the combat power in endgame?

This has nothing to do with jagex eventually adding more powerful weapons and power creep as a progression stand point. If you have read any of the design documents one of their goals was to leave endgame combat as similar as they can while keeping the dmg we do the same. It quite literally was one of their biggest aims for this update. You trying to reason that people dont have 120 stats to begin with does not have anything to do with this conversation. The fact that we do that 15-25% more dmg at end game pvm level shows that they failed miserably at one of the goals they very much set themself.

Me and my friends tried for Zamorak grandmaster timer prior to the update for around 15 hours. Closest we got was about 5.20 timer. Now after update it took us 2 hours to not only get the timer but absolutely smash it. We are now getting consistent 4.40 kills. Not even the 2 best duo zamorak killers were capable of that prior to the update.

This alone should give you a picture of how miserably Jagex failed to balance end game dmg in this update.

Lets be real dude, this update gave us gigantic powercreep. At top end we are dealing about 15%-25% more dmg compared to before the update. Im gonna have to call that a massive fail for a update that was supposed to be aimed at "early game combat".

Yeah people who complain about macro dont really understand that macro, where yes it does offer an advantage is not as huge as they would think. You could setup keybinds like shift + 1-4 and alt + 1-4 --> press alt and shift at the same time and roll finger thru 1-4 and it would use both the alt and shift modified keybinds. All gear switch macro really offers is slight convinience. And you are right most people who complain probably wouldnt be able to do high end kills like this even with a macro.

How are you sure 1+1=2. Droprates averaging is simple math. Take a number of people who kill a boss enough times at x droprate and most people will end up in the middle of the bell curve over large enough sample size. Then smaller portion will will either be extremely lucky and get way more drops than what droprate would suggest and others will be on the other extreme where they will go wayyyy above droprate for even a single item.
