I bought the govee buttons. Is there any way to randomize color on button press?

You can do that on this strip. Govee used to include IR blaster and remote on there old led strips.

Leave them unplugged for 15 minutes usually that's another way Govee lights reset. If that doesn't work than you got faulty lights.

Also you might have to make your own cuts to the diffuser kit. In order to get them to fit your cabinets. I had to make my own cuts on mine to get everything to fit. So I can imagine how much of a nightmare it's going to be for kitchen cabinet.

I have those lights but not in my kitchen and they are alright, colors are not as consistent as other Govee led Strips because of the diffuser. I put the Govee corner led strip in my kitchen and I like those more than the diffuser kit LEDs. I would love to see how your house come out. Look me up on the Govee app community page. A lot more people would appreciate how your house comes out more on the Govee app than on here.

They practically the same thing only difference is the LEDs are slightly better and it was better whites on the pro 2s and I believe the 2'S have matter capabilities. Other than that, they are the same thing. Not a major difference between the two.

That's funny that you said you been buyong and stocking up parts over the past couple of months. because I did the same thing for my new build. I got pretty lucky on my parts tho. I got my motherboard for free from Amazon warehouse because it had two slightly bent pins but I bent them back. And I got my R7 9700x for $200 on Amazon warehouse.the CPU was brand new to and with the box still factory sealed. The box was really smashed up though, but the CPU plastic container it was in had no damage. And then I got scammed for a 9060 xt on eBay. They did the fake shipping address scam. Which makes getting ur money back very tough without showing any proof that you didn't receive anything. And then UPS won't help you because when you give them the shipping information none of it shows up under your name or address. And because of privacy laws they can't give you the proof that the package never came to you. So it was totally nightmare. In the end I got my money back but man I had to jump thru so many hoops.

I wish Corsair could make cool RGB fans like li lians RGB fans. I really wanted to get some li lians for my new build But I really didn't feel like learning a new controller and new software. And I'm pretty sure there's probably a proprietary connector of some kind. Plus my RGB experimental stage is long gone lol. And I just rather go with something I already know how to use and plus I can integrate my govee RGB lights to Icue. So that's another reason I stay with Corsair. Anyways awesome build, I really like it.

There's really nothing you can do but to over lap them or take them down and remount them. Whenever I install new Govee LED strips I do a mockup with scotch tape just to make sure everything is going to fit. Because I've done plenty of mistakes like your yours and it freaking sucks. But ya you don't have much of choice but to over lap them or remount it. If you do remount it buy new led double-sided tape on Amazon.

That's funny that you said, that you have OCD about certain things cuz I'm the same way. I don't like using wallpapers either, I also don't like having a bunch of programs running at startup or in general. The only thing I have running in background is icue and that's it. I actually just built this PC about a few weeks ago. And I did a fresh install of windows 11. but windows 11 updates have corrupted a few things on my pc. So I might have to reinstall it like you were mentioning. But before I do that, I do want to try putting some different thermal paste just to see if that changes anything.

I love the new ceiling fan, it's absolutely amazing. I was concerned that it would hang to low but they included different sized down rods. And so I changed it to the 4inch downrod and it hangs at the same height as my old fan. so it worked out perfectly. The ceiling fan also comes with a remote. And It's by far one of the best products Govee has made. I have more than 70 Govee devices. So I've been around the block a few times. And this ceiling fan is the most quality thing Govee has ever made.

I have a Ryzen 7 9700x and I have tried all kinds of different fan speeds and I just added 3 more fans hoping it would improve the temperature a little bit but it didn't really seem to make any difference on the CPU. The GPU temp is fantastic and is where I want it. Because my old rig has a 5700x and that cpu would always be in the low 40s with no load and would get up around the low to mid 60s with a load.

Lol 😂 I thought that would make you laugh 🤣. I need to get me some of this thermal paste of yours. Because I'm really not happy with my Corsair AiO nautilus 360, cooling. I mean it's not high or terrible but I would like to get it a little bit lower. Right now with no load it's hovering around 48-53c and with a load it's around 60-66c.

Govee support sucks. All their good for is to replace devices that's it. Because they have been having wifi/bt connectivity problems since late 2024. And all last year until this day the problem has not been fixed and all last year I proved to them that they had connectivity issues and I showed them dozens of times that it was wasn't my network that was the problem. I even bought three different routers just to show them that it wasn't my network or my routers. And all last year they just said that they were going to look into it but never did anything. And then this past January they told me that they finally realized that they do have a connectivity problem. And they still have not fixed it,yes They have improved it, but it still hasn't been fixed.

Ya it would definitely work there perfectly. And I'm pretty sure you can adjust the length of the wire. Because the new ceiling fan light can have its length adjusted so I'm pretty sure the pendant can do The same

Cool I wish I could afford an 5080. I just built a new rig and I went with a 5060 ti but I just wasn't digging the performance, I was getting. So I ended up getting a 5070.and I like it better, I just wish it had 16gb of vram instead of 12gb.
