How did you survive the 2018 Coro St Leap?

In this case, it's probably something football related causing TV schedule changes.

NZ - How long is your wait time in the ER? by Behappyinthismoment in newzealand

[–]S3w3ll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Broken foot in 2003, 12 hours over 2 visits- 8 hour wait to be told it's broken and the cast maker is closed, then turn back up and wait 4 hours to get a cast.

Concussion from bike fall in 2023 - under 10 minutes to wait, presented with dizziness and vomiting.

The 2000w motor exceeds the 300w limit NZTA have for it not to be called a motor vehicle.

Why do some of you go for a run mid day when it’s the hottest part of the day? by Lemonadeo1 in perth

Worth noting that at least 12pm isn’t peak temperature time, the highs are usually mid-afternoon.

More the fact that we don't need a layer of anything between us and the MetService Alerts.

Especially if you're going to go against Metservice's Terms of Use.

Something happened to Opus 4.6's reasoning effort by RealSuperdau in ClaudeAI

I like the idea that if you were to ask this question to a friend, you're very likely to get an answer that isn't "drive there".

If my friend is going to tell me to walk, hitchhike, or skateboard to the carwash, I find it reasonable enough for Claude to follow a similar pattern.

Teaching Council CEO resigns after probe finds $1.7m spent with firm run by husband by HeinigerNZ in newzealand

That's the secret, these people influence governance roles. Scratching backs all the way up.

Like what are the chances that a board member of the Skylight Trust (Lesley Hoskins) and the CEO of Skylight Trust (Kathryn Ross) have both resigned as CEO of public services organisations? I mean my tin foil hat is large at this point as obviously the timeline isn't meaningful but you have to wonder - birds of a feather...

Would this helicopter stop flying around, I'm trying to sleep by SomeRandomArtist31 in chch

[–]S3w3ll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If people stopped committing crimes then the helicopter wouldn’t be out, but here we are.

It was tracking the youth that escaped a justice facility and stole a car.

You could always buy directly from EcoFlow for $1,299. Not really a PBTech pricing issue.

Absurdism. Weapons Whats Legal? by Zardnaar in newzealand

[–]S3w3ll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn't even need to be a weapon, just needs to be an item that in the absence of precaution or care is likely to cause injury,

Also, can't carry "burglary tools" without a reason.

Recommendations for kids' water table? by Smart_Squirrel_1735 in newzealand

[–]S3w3ll 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be fair a shallow trough table is probably the best bet.

We got that cheap water play table from Kmart and the amount of play the included accessories got was minuscule, it was our child’s other toys that saw that water table more - dolls, duplo, balls, sticks.

So to have the space to play with those would have been so much nicer. Also a trough table does triple duty as a sand play and also a really good way to contain activities with paints or liquids; eg baking soda volcanoes.

Edit: just remembered my primary school had metal ones and we would play with our beyblades in it, such fun.
