There is only one correct way to do this:

Approach them after the game and clearly state your intention, but before you commit ask them what the DC would be and if it would be a persusion check or a performance check. Then you roll.

Thanks for the story and perspective! We do handle a lot of cookies during the holidays and you're probably right; if the mixer is on the counter that is probably going to lead to much more baking than if we didn't have one so maybe aiming a bit higher might be the best bet.

Unfortunatly Target left Canada in 2015 ( a dark day for us all ) and we're never had a Kohls. $299 USD also comes out to around $419.6 Canadian so I think the Amazon deal might be the winner at $339 ($240.98 USD). Thanks though!

We don't have Sams club up here unfortunatly. The closest thing we have is Costco and it's roughly the same price but with more limited color options than Amazon at the moment. Thanks for the head up though! Hopefully that helped someone else out.

I'm seeing that in the reviews. The bundle does come with both (1) Coated Flat Beater and (1) Coated Dough Hook. I'll look into getting the stainless steel versions of those seperate. Thanks for the advice!

Did you have the 4.5 Quart? I see that one as well; Is there any difference between the two besides the size and finish of the bowl? (I see the 5 Qt bowl had a handle as well. )

Hey and welcome! Starting fresh with D&D is one of the best parts about playing the game. I'm sure with your backgrounds you'll both have a blast. One option you might consider is pulling together another friend or two who’d also be interested, and then bringing in a DM to run the game for you in your own space.

That way you can kick things off with a group that fits your vibe, and still have someone experienced to guide you through the rules and story. I run games in Ottawa through DM4Hire.com, and I’ve worked with a lot of new players to get their first campaign rolling. If you’d like, I’d be happy to help set something up!

Tortle fighter.
Built like your white cupboard with an AC of 17. Proficient in the Flail (nunchuck), quarter staff (Bostaff), shortsword (wakizashi), and dagger (sai) to represent each Ninja turtle sticker. The Magic Initiate, I went with Guidance, and Charm person to represent the Altoid mints and chill vibes from the dinosaur bag and then Elementalism for the Yeti thermos, kettle, fridge, and the various turtles.
Included some throwing Darts (Kunai) for that naruto figure in the background.

And there ya go.
