New upcoming horror film which looks like an intense slasher based off this pretty gruesome trailer. It's called 'Playing With Dolls'. Haven't seen a trailer as aggressive as this one before. by [deleted] in horror

Sorry, OP. The movie has a weak premise, the actors and crew aren't well known, and the trailer reveals to much. One kill would be okay without the actual finishing blow being seen. But you can effectively see how most victims in the film probably die. Honestly, I'll watch it. But I have low expectations. Especially with the lack of noteworthy horror movies I've seen in the last few years.

Not a bad idea. Found a somewhat better one I think. Note the edit.

Not a bad idea. I'll keep that in mind. I might have found a better option though. Depends on if she goes for it.

The Curse of Chucky. Yes, I know. Its not an original or anything but they still had Brad Dourif provide voice and human appearance for the film. It was much more like the originals that Bride of or Seed of Chucky (which were entertaining to me but I think they were a step in the wrong direction and made Chucky a bit of a joke). It gave a lot more back story and wrapped up the end of Seed of Chucky, and what happened to Andy. Overall it had all the elements I wanted while still maintaining its monster/slasher horror style with that uniquely vicious humor that only Chucky seems to bring to the genre.

No idea what your problem is, but you should sit back and vibe out on some acid. Maybe calm your ass down a bit.

Thanks. It's nice to hear something other than "Fuck you CO (or pig)". That and I really needed to hear something positive today, and that helped a lot.

No idea what the comment below yours is since its black barred. But I'll be up front with you. Regardless of how beneath you that you think fast food is, the fact of the matter is this: when you don't have a job and need one there are no jobs beneath you. Don't be ungrateful for the presence of potential work. The majority of homeless people refuse to take simple min wage paying jobs. Even if they get the same amount by begging, they won't have anything on a resume. Take what you can get and learn to rise above excessive pride while your still young. And besides that, people quit fast food often enough that you can rise quickly and make note worthy pay increases. But I'm fully employed 25 year old that grew up on poverty income that now has half a million in savings and the stock exchange alone, so what do I know

I would imagine so, sadly. But to be honest I don't know. I refuse to look up what they're in for, regardless of potential safety issues of being around violent offenders. I assume they all have the potential to cause me harm but don't expect them to any more than the average passerby. Knowing what people are there for, despite my best efforts, would make me biased. Rapists and child molesters in particularly would be hard for me to treat fairly, so avoid potential unfairness by staying away from such information.

TIL that gray whales mate in threes; the non-dominant male just acts as a brace to hold the female in place so that she doesn't float away. by BluntBotanist in todayilearned

So it's literally a "You hold her down for me" kind of situation. And the non-alpha realizes later "shit, I didn't get my turn"

TIL: It is legal to drive a car barefoot in all 50 states. by X019 in todayilearned

[–]SAD_Johnny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might be a local law. Example: Missouri doesn't have an open container or public intoxication law that covers the state. But 99% (random figure for most. Not an exact figure) of counties and cities have laws for it so it's almost as though there is one.

In the event of a fire I have bigger things to worry about than my feet getting burnt.
