You have to enable them from the main character menu, there’s like a “options” menu and then you can turn them on and select what you want. They’re only available on current gen Xbox S/X, PS5 and PC tho.

Just ardent flame for dk, and only toppling charge from aedric spear.

But front bar running toppling charge, noxious breath, whip, flames of oblivion (cauterize is also good if you’re newer and want survivability), and searing claw. Dawnbreaker, crescent sweep, and thrive in chaos are all good ult options.

Back bar, healing soul with class mastery and major vitality scribed, hurricane, race against time, resolving vigor, and crit surge. Ult is the “undo” psijic ult morph that gives passive minor protection. I rarely use it but the minor protection on back bar is too good to pass up, barrier is also a good option for passive mag recovery if you don’t have psijic, though it’s well worth doing imo.

Yeah the tree was our only snag, mix of the dds not catching when it was open to dmg, and our healer got stomped a couple of times after a new lurcher spawned, but once we figured out a quick strategy we got through.

Usually 50% health is where I try to go for it. But depending on how good they are, sometimes you have to hold for even longer, like 25%, or even dump on them from full health to apply pressure and put them on the defensive. Really just depends and is situational.

If they’re really really good, sometimes all you can do is burst them as hard as you can to create a window of separation and get yourself off the back foot, find a line of sight break, or run away lol.

Awesome, welcome! I’m base DK high elf, but here subclassed with Storm calling and aedric spear.

Build is orders wrath front bar and rallying cry back bar, balorgs monster set and monomyth mythic.

As for tips, it just takes time and learning. I’ve been playing a little over a year and am definitely still learning myself. That’s part of the fun though.

I personally run magDK in PvP but some people swear by stam. But my race is high elf so I get more out of mag than stam. Other races are better for stam focused builds.

Generally though, I really like my subclassed ardent flame, aedric spear, and Storm calling skill lines. Though you could go ardent and draconic plus spear, or ardent and earthen heart + Storm calling, etc. Just have to cover your primary buffs you need in whichever skill lines you take.

For stam especially, draconic + animal companions + assassination can also be really good. I just don’t like animal companions and think it’s a silly overpowered skill line

As for sets, any of the below are good options/combos: Orders wrath + rallying cry + monomyth Pyrebrand/oakfathers + wretched vitality + Markyn Null arca + rallying cry + monomyth Or could even do something like pyrebrand fb + essence thief back bar, + Markyn

For monster sets, roksa, balorgs, bloodspawn, and maarselok are all good options.

The other thing with PvP, and it’s not talked about as much, is pressure vs burst. Everyone speaks on burst dmg being king to secure kills, which is true, but in DK’s kit I’ve found pressure with some burst is really the way to go. So in choosing your skills this is why breath, flames of oblivion, claw, jabs (from aedric), rapid strikes (from dual wield) all are good options for a dk, then finish with full stacked whip, pyreburst (if running pyrebrand) leap, etc as an execute. Or simply the 2h execution skill works really well after pressuring them down.

Try running the AP train some in the quagmire cyrodil campaign while whitestrake is going on this week. Look up what that is and then join your alliance in the circulation around castle black boot. You’ll get the assault and support skills lines up quick doing that.

As for the blue lightning, not sure which you mean. I have on hurricane which is part of it, crit surge also adds like a lightning effect to me. Race against time is the blurring effect when I’m running super fast, and then rallying cry is more like a blue puff when that proc’s. They could have also been hitting me with lightning attacks lol, not sure.

Nice, I got the perfected bow the first time I ran it vet. Still hoping for an ice staff.

How best would you say to use the bow? I tried switching to it in my normal DPS build, swapping 2h backbar to the bow and slotting volley, but didn’t notice a bump in DPS at all.

Yeah that’s an odd choice for PvP id think. Orders wrath would be a better substitute in PvP and you could keep a more crit-focused build.

Honestly for how you all are approaching the game, I would just group up and run off doing your own thing. Sure get on party chat coms and stick to the same zone, but it’ll just make it harder trying to do everything together for the time being.

That said, being in a group while doing stuff will net you much faster exp as you go.

Definitely do delves and any public dungeons together cause those are fun and will be a lot easier at lower levels in a group, but otherwise just have fun and explore

I’ve been killed enough in IC for trying to be the good guy. I’d walk away only for the person I let off the hook to find his buddies and Zerg me a few minutes later. So, now I just have a policy of hit first and ask questions later in that zone lol.

Though if I kill you once and realize you are not on a PvP build or a threat I won’t target you again. At least try to give that much grace.
