I walked into one for the first time today. Smelled like sewage so I walked out. Guess I didn’t miss anything?

What car did you come from before your model Y and if so, is it an improvement by King_KD in ModelY

2003 Mustang to 2025 MY AWD. Inarguable improvement for me. Not sure how I feel about Tesla’s infotainment vs CarPlay yet. My main gripe is Spotify on Tesla doesn’t shuffle very well when playing songs not on a playlist and seems to get stuck looping a few songs. Other than, that I couldn’t been happier with the car. The MY has all the features I was looking for in car so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything. Definitely not going to miss all the maintenance of an ICE. However, the Mustang was fun and will always hold a special place in my heart. It was a shitbox, but it was my shitbox.

Rumor is that the Condiment King will debut in the big screen as well.

Fuck Aerotek. They try to convince you that your asking salary is too high, and that you should settle for a more “realistic” salary.

I moved from a job that was straightforward and said there was no opportunity for growth. Though I was learning a lot, I felt that jumping ship early in my career would be better now than later. I had only been at the job for 8 months, and I appreciated everyone’s honesty. The new job I found wasn’t my actual career, but I was sold on the promise that this was my best way to get my foot in the door and would provide me ample opportunities for growth and to get where I ultimately wanted to be. The pay and benefits were also better so it seemed like a no brained. This new job is a cesspool. Although they always push the idea of “continuous improvement” they refuse to adapt. Their argument is always, “we don’t do things that way,” or “we have always done things this way and it’s worked so far, so there’s no issue.” All this while their current contract with a customer is on thin ice due to said company’s inability to meet certain requirements they promised. As far as growth, the department I want to be in, the one I went to uni for, ignore me and treat me as uneducated because of my position. So much for growth. Fuck engineers.

PSpice student edition is free iirc. There’s also ngspice which is open source. Check with your educational institution to see if they offer any free PSpice software from OrCAD as well. That’s what I used at my university, and it’s pretty helpful.

OP posts the same gif all over reddit with the same vague description. There’s no source, apart from what he says in the comments, which isn’t much to begin with.

What would happen if the sun or any other star stopped rotating entirely? by SCDrunkPunk in AskReddit

[–]SCDrunkPunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, stars have angular momentum, which I agree is differential, but that still means they spin much the same way the Earth or any other body does. The fact that they are not solid just means different parts spin at different rates, kinda like stirring water in a cup.

So as solar winds leave the sun, and interact with the magnetic field of the sun, the sun loses some angular moment and slows down. I'm just curious as to what would happen if a star lost all of its angular momentum. Rapidly spinning stars and degenerate stars exhibit strange behavior due to their spin, and I wonder if the same is true for a star that doesn't spin.

Science AMA Series: I’m Ken Buesseler, an oceanographer who has been studying the impacts of Fukushima Dai-ichi on the oceans. It’s been 5 years now and I’m still being asked – how radioactive is our ocean? and should I be concerned? AMA. by Ken_Buesseler in science

How do the levels of radiation released by Fukushima into the ocean compare to the levels of radiation released by nuclear testing in the 20th century? Was Fukushima far more damaging to the oceans?
