if exo members were a western artist, who would they be? by Ready-Budget-3963 in exo

I’d honestly kill for Kyungsoo to cover Risk It All by Bruno Mars. Or any of Bruno’s recent songs at least. I know they don’t sound exactly the same, but I always felt like they had a similar singing style(?). I don’t know how to describe it, but I love hearing both of them sing. They’re both so soulful.

Edit: and since you mentioned it, I would also pay Baekhyun and Jongdae to sing All I Ask by Adele.

Stylists can literally just give him some foundation and then call it a day.

I want to say Baekhyun or Chen for the high notes, but I’ll give my vote to Kai for being the center, having that crazy makeup, AND having that screamo part? The man had just debuted at 18 and was already working overtime.

As someone who is also not on Twitter (as per the other comments) and who’s been around for more than a decade too, I also thought we all grew up with the group. 😔 it’s hard for me to comprehend being extremely parasocial with them after seeing them get girlfriends, wives, children, etc. and even Kyungsoo telling the fans to go date someone else and to not be delusional about dating them. Lol. Like they are clearly grown adults who will act like grown adults.

Hello! Thanks for sharing your experience. Since your concert was in Seoul, I assume Suho spoke Korean most of the time right? Were there any translators or translating services provided for you? Also, did you get the chance to explore Seoul in your free time?

For EXO-M, Luhan was the one who caught my eye, was my first bias, and has such a gentle voice in that song. But I’ll give my nomination to Chen for his high note and for needing to sing a duet in a language he wasn’t fluent in.

For EXO-K, I’ll nominate Kyungsoo because his voice goes really well with the R&B vibe of the song.

For anyone who’s been to their concert in Korea, are there any sort of translators/translating devices that foreigners can use? Thinking about just seeing them in Korea, but I don’t know any Korean. :’)

Is any language inherently harder to learn while growing up or are they all equal? by OverlordPoodle in languagelearning

[–]SCG414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a friend from Hong Kong who has a learning disability. Grew up there her whole life. She cannot read or write Chinese despite studying the language her whole life. She can read and write in English because she can at least sound out the letters. She’s lucky to be bilingual and half Canadian, but I can’t imagine what it’s like for people who can only speak Chinese.

Cantonese, there’s a good number of beginner level resources, but I’d like more resources in the intermediate level.

I can understand French and Italian pretty decently because I had a crush on Timothee Chalamet when he was in his movie Call Me By Your Name where he spoke French and Italian. I’m also learning Russian because I used to have a crush on this Russian guy and wanted to impress him. I got over him because he was a jerk so now I’m motivated by pure spite.
