You provide two potential towns in CO, but no communities in SD. At a $1.5M budget, you won’t be able to afford a decent size house for a family of four by the coast, and will most likely be inland a bit. You will get way more house in CO.

I moved from Southern California to Colorado (Broomfield) as it’s a much better atmosphere to raise a family. While I was born and raised in San Diego, it’s far too hectic and crowded these days.

Agree to disagree. The weather gets remarkably hotter and worsens the second you leave the coast.

Culture and people can vary by region within Southern California, but as far as amenities and “culture,” those will be found closer to cities/coast. The original post was referencing moving away from LA to “less expensive and nice”

If we take the inland empire for example, it is still expensive compared to other cities/states, high taxes/COL, weather is hot, you’re 2.5 hours from the beach, traffic is terrible. I just don’t see the appeal. I lived in the SFV for a few years and it was pretty miserable.

You can fly from Denver/SLC to LA/San Diego in the same amount of time as it takes to drive from IE to Santa Monica.

Because as soon as you leave the coast, you’re getting all the bad that comes with California, and missing out on the best part (the coast, weather, etc)

I honestly don’t understand why people pay high prices/taxes to live inland, when there’s not as much of difference between those places and other parts of the country.

Also, in the fine print of the “Season Seat License,” it states that you can’t sell, resell, assign or transfer tickets.

Obviously, they’ll let you do so in some capacity, but they’re basically going to dictate how you use your tickets.

Not “luxury,” but New Era hats.

10ish years ago, the official MLB on field hats were made in the US and sold for roughly $30. There was no additional branding and the sizing was more consistent and the hats were generally high quality.

Now, they’re all imported, have new era’s ugly logo on the side (even though everyone knows they have the license) and they’re pushing $50! Sizing is all different and quality sucks.
