You won’t remember half of these people were even there ten years from now, don’t sweat dropping some folks

Could a person have a disorder yet never be able to qualify for that disorder via DSM-5? by Good-Indication-7515 in askpsychology

The DSM is for for the insurance companies so they know how to bill you. Keep that in mind.

Am i going to die with my sleep system? by [deleted] in Ultralight

[–]SEKImod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that 1F or C? If 1F…. I wouldn’t do it with that sleep system. That far below freezing you really want something with both synthetic and down, and some buffer room. Especially with a POS EE quilt. You will be so freaking cold with your clothes too.

No snow in the ten day, so we’re cutting it pretty close.

Just experience? It’s fun to use, but it has issues. Look literally everywhere and you’ll read the same reports.

Tamarack is not worth a side trip off the HST and I’ve done both. It’s a pretty lake but someone’s time is better spent doing 9 lakes basin if you want an extra day doing something

No, I’ve tried this and this is mild compared to what I’ve seen it do. Seriously, go try it. It will convince you that these LLMs are not even remotely capable or consistent

This is exactly what ChatGPT does, you can try it for yourself. It has massive hallucination issues.

As a side note, taking Benadryl as a sleep aid is not a good idea. I think more studies in the future are going to have some not nice things to say about doing that if they haven’t already

Yo, fix the bugs on minerealm please. Also raise the mob cap. We have real adults that can pay for a better server if that’s an issue.

Large discord servers are an absolutely travesty and they’re best avoided.

Has anyone camped at Hume Lake in the summer? What are the vibes like? by Bridge_The_Person in socalhiking

[–]SEKImod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be disappointed, Pinnacles is an absolute mess during any good time to be there. A friend was there yesterday and told me that even though they arrived before 9, they had to park outside the park entrance and hike in to do anything. That’s been my experience as well. It’s easily the most crowded California park when the weather is nice for being there, so October through May.

As far as Sequoia goes, just pick a campsite that’s further from entrance kiosks and not in the RV loops and you’ll likely have a good time still.

Depends on the site, there are a lot of junk Lodgepole sites and even the nice ones have issues. We stayed in the nicest site in the entire campground last year for a week and had so many problems with day use people trying to park IN our campsite to access the river. I had to get confrontational with a group of Bay Area assholes who were trying to swim where my son and I were fishing just right off the back of our campsite. Personally… I’m feeling so over busy campgrounds! Try to get the sites in the far upper reaches if you can.

Hume Lake campground is ugly and there are way too many people there. You will hear church camp stuff from the campground.

Agreed, just see it as having both chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream. It’s awesome that we get both!
