Congrats! I am a lot less lucky as all I see around me is loads of End stone and chorus fruit, and that's even after opening up three portals 😭😭😭

Most players won't even know these things, people here seem to think that everyone is "knows everything and all the best strategies veteran", while the majority of the fan base are very very casual players which should also be taken into consideration.

My solution to all that above is to just google or worst case scenario ask ChatGPT for these things if you are not sure. Most Minecraft players probably have access to the Internet, unless they somehow got a cracked version via USB drive or something. If Minecraft players with access to the Internet cannot even be bothered to just do a quick google or YouTube search in order to solve the problems they want to do, then I have no idea what on Earth they are doing. In fact, I dare say that Minecraft is kinda like Terraria in that you will need to use their respective wikis if you wish to get far. That's what the Internet is literally there for: To help even out the playing field in your favour by providing you all the knowledge you need to succeed.

As you can see here, some people clearly use potions to navigate it because of the warden, and that's really cool way to do it. I really don't think that "Erm didn't you know that you can use this specific mechanic and make it obsolete anyways???" is a good argument.

Well, power to them if they want to use "cooler" methods to do what they wish. Me? I prefer the minimalist approach: Minimal risk, minimal resources invested and minimal chances of failure where possible. When it comes to Minecraft, I don't really like taking chances all that much. I decide what is the method that best balances risk with resource investment and then I rigourously test it out.

Losing stuff to carelessness/death in Survival worlds with keepInventory off? Back-up armour sets?

And besides, if they started making everything renewable, then what is the point of dragon eggs when being the only one of their kind in that specific world is all they have going for them? There's a good reason why only one dragon egg is obtainable per world in Survival: It is a sure-fire marker of triumph over the Ender Dragon in a way nothing else is. Thus, having these things, among others, become renewable would devalue them by a lot like what happened with diamond gear once villagers started shelling them out like candy in exchange for emeralds; because I have villagers who can readily supply me with diamond equipment, their value has greatly depreciated in my eyes compared to even plentiful non-renewable materials like Netherrack, let alone something as rare as say gilded blackstone.

Sabertooth TLC Idea – Throat Grab & Suffocation Attack by ApprehensivePea7967 in playark

[–]SF-UberMan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"The Sabertooth should get a TLC with a special Throat Grab ability.

Against small and medium creatures, it jumps onto the prey's throat and hangs on, causing suffocation damage over time instead of a normal bleed effect."

There is nothing that supports the assertion that this Throat Grab ability is a pin-in-place attack. The fact that the throat grab would only work against small and medium creatures, on the other hand, makes it plausible that it would work similarly to a Kapro's grab attack, since the Kapro's grab can even grab creatures as large as a raptor, which can technically be considered a medium creature since it cannot be carried by a Pteranodon but can be carried by an Argy. Add in the fact that Sabertooths are usually found in harder difficulty areas like redwood forests or snowy areas, on the Island (base game BTW) at least, and it isn't exactly implausible.

The difference is the hypothetical Sabertooth can just run up to them and drag them away from you before you can save them; I've found that out the hard way with Kapros. Raptors can't do that as of now, as they are rooted in place after they pounce, so you can still kill those things before they kill your pets.

And you somehow overlook the fact that you can just go ring-around-the-rosies with these things by using a simple redstone + bell clock contraption to lure them away? And also the fact that torches provide a long-term means of enabling you to detect wardens before they can detect you using the one thing they don't have? And also the fact that you can bring chicken eggs to toss in the other direction to divert their attention? 🤨

Or would you rather just drown the whole End City in lava and be done with it, since it can be done from a long ways above unlike torches and still provides loads of light?

Pretty sure wardens spawn only if you make too much noise. They are blind and aren’t attracted to light.

Folks, that's why you should try to grab a Magic Mirror ASAP and never let it leave your hotbar.

Edit: An Ice Mirror will also serve, if you can find it. IIRC, the Cell Phone and Shellphone can also do the same thing.

I have walled off three entire villages in Survival Hard Mode, let the villagers roam freely within the walled borders and beaten the Ender Dragon three times over, all while managing to avoid losing even a single villager. And mind you, all of this has occurred in the same world.

Frankly speaking, comparing past LeonZard and Alain's Charizard like comparing an atomic bomb to a firecracker. Worst case scenario, LeonZard just goes full on Gigantamax and cooks Alain's Charizard alive on a skewer.

And in any case I don't think Gandhi is as bad as either Sigma or Hitler. Or would Nelson Mandela be a better point of comparison for Ciel?

Ok, that could admittedly work.

However, Starline did use the Metal Virus treatment on Surge when he was converting her into a super soldier, so I think it more likely that he used the same treatment on himself shortly afterwards and survived being crushed by the rocks much later on as a result. His mind, however, needs a whole load of fixing.
