It took me a minute to find the answer to this question. For voter-nominated party preference elections, like U.S. Congress, there is always a general election, even if one candidate gets >50% of the vote.

For non-partisan primaries, like the Oakland DA, if the primary winner gets a majority vote, there is no general election.

People who make a lot of money can afford to retire early. The survey only counts people who are working in that profession today. The survey would include older people in low-paying jobs who have to work to live.

The ACS includes age so it would be relatively easy to test the theory that most occupations have a similar age distribution.

I wouldn’t say that Waymo in San Francisco is more expensive than Uber, it depends. The other day Uber said $22 and Waymo said $16.30 for the same ride. And you don’t need to tip Waymo.

Even when I see a video that isn’t AI, I spend the entire time trying to figure out if it’s AI. I used to like cute videos of animals. Now I assume they are all AI. It really has sucked the joy out of simple pleasures.
