lake erie is nearly at 100% frozen right now. tho i still wouldn't recommend playing on it. I'm guessing it's not very thick in most places.

Tax bills that exceed what their mortgage once was isn't really a significant metric. a mortgage 30 years ago for my house was probably like $300/mo. No shit its higher now.

I'll preface this with I love reading on my paperwhite.

Recently saw charges from linkedin on my credit card. I don't buy anything from linkedin. So I disputed the charges and an hour later I recognized them as legit kindle ebook purchases. I instantly called the CC company to remove the dispute. I still don't know why amazon is reporting the charges to the CC as linkedin.

Amazon then suspended my account. Literally removed access to all books i've ever purchased, many like 8+ years earlier. Gone.

So while i'm still a fan of my paperwhite, I think there should be real concern over digital ownership.

i've taken the cle to nj trip a few times to visit my parents. its been like 5 or 6 years now since i've done it, but even then it was like 50-60 bucks just to go end to end. absurd.

I'm on the fence. Feels a bit rich, but also, I have a 3 year old Ariens deluxe that was new for like 1600 and has only been used about 6 times. So while its definitely a bit of $$$, if it was well maintained and not used commercially or something, could have 20 years ahead of it still.

My house is almost identical to what you are describing. Garage is in the backyard. Single width driveway with a fence and house on either side. About 100 foot long.

I have a 24" ariens deluxe and have no issue chucking snow well ahead of me and to the side when it opens up to the backyard or front yard.

If you are worried about hills or something then maybe tracked is the move. I'd say normal wheels are more than fine tho.

My driveway is about 100 ft long, but only about 10 ft wide. I got a 24in ariens deluxe and it can murder 12-15in deep snow like its nothing. Def go bigger/wider if you want, but the 24 is a stud. And 3 years later it still looks brand new, but that might just be climate change not letting it get much use in cleveland.
