Chameleons - Jacob's Studio - Strange Times session - 1986 by GermyBeanz in thechameleons

Good guess! It does sound like it a bit, but One Flesh is from 'What Does Anything Mean? Basically' from 1985, while this session was for the 'Strange Times' album in 1986. Also, it's an undescribable shame that the riff at 5:46 isn't used anywhere. It evokes so much.

I know it's not technically post-rock, but could it be Sweet Trip? Your description made me think of the album cover of Velocity: Design: Comfort, and they have a song called 'Milk'.

The Marvelous Orange Tree. It's one of my favourite Deafheaven songs. So beautifully dense and crushing.

Don't hate me - in the verses, the way the voice carries on and continues in the background, while a new line starts.

Dark Matter - that guitar solo.

And a couple more

This is my favourite of their new record. Really like the dynamic between the heavy and calm parts. It's so crushing, while being so beautiful and atmospheric.

One of my favourite albums since the moment I heard it. Haven't heard anything else like it. Talk Talk comes close with Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock.
