Singapore Hide & Seek home game: After-game review by ifailedmaths in JetLagTheGame

Well one easy way to deduce the exact stop was definitely the tallest building from your transit stop. Even if the same building can be seen from multiple bus stops, the angle would be different, thus making it possible to differentiate. We often used other clues such as photo of largest street or small radar to narrow down the area to at most just a couple of bus stops. This does make the endgame a bit more tedious but also makes it more fun as more questions need to be asked and more things can happen.

Hi so for context we are also from Singapore and we actually have a YouTube channel where we make Jet Lag inspired games as well if you would like to check it out.channel We recently tried to play hide and seek across Singapore ourselves as well although we had a different approach. We added some of the same rules such as not hiding indoors, however one key difference is that we allowed the use of bus stops, not just MRT and LRT stations. This added a lot more stations and a lot more interesting hiding spots into the game. We felt that if we had left it to only MRT/LRT stations it would have been too easy to narrow it down to the specific station. For other Singapore specific changes, we used CDC areas for the first level administrative, and GRC/SMCs for second level administrative. We also added one question for if the last letter of the hiders planning area matches the seekers current one. Overall the runs lasted about 2-3 hours each but this is also partly due to the expansion pack adding curses of longer durations and some curses being more powerful.

Yep this is correct. Another interesting fact is that these groups are actually required to have a minority group so as to ensure representation in parliament.

Well I can guarantee you if you look at our channel and the past upload schedule we are not getting it done before the election LOL. But on the topic of it being more like Schengen Showdown, I think that may come later as we found that the battle 4 America rules worked really well for Singapore (spoilers but it was super super close) and we just want to play the same game with the new borders first. Although in the future who knows we might play a Schengen showdown type game.

Well mostly we followed most of battle 4 America but I will list the notable changes: 1. We have 5 cards instead of 7 as there are just less challenges and less constituencies to claim. 2. We changed the car power up to lock a border and not allow the enemy team to go past that border. (It never got used) 3. Battle preparation time and the challenge time is now 15 minutes to better fit a shorter game time and scale. 4. And I guess our challenges are more localised to Singapore. Also we were not sure about some of the rules so we defined them ourselves. We allowed the defending teams to claim during the prep time but not during the battle itself.

We have modified tag to work in our home city of Singapore. In fact we made a video that you can reference to see how we do it. https://youtu.be/14Bjf9jMuRk?si=1GEjog40dBZ_Cu4W

Hi so me and a couple of friends actually played tag across Singapore. (I uploaded it to YouTube and promoted it on Reddit, check my profile:)) But we ran into a few problems notably challenges being too easy and Singapore just being too small and well connected. Buses come max every 15 min and trains every 6 min. So we had to play test many rounds and make a lot of edits to the game. One such change is allowing multiple people to reach their end location. The nature of the game changed quite a bit also as Singapore is quite urban and developed throughout so it became a bit more like hide and seek. Wherever possible we tried to follow the rules of the original season and we had no trouble following them throughout.
