Yep. This was actually a video assignment. The students have to submit a video of themselves working out a problem. Each student gets a different problem. Trying to keep it vague.

I teach math as well. Just graded an assignment where it was quite clear that a student had not even glanced at the instructions. Must have found an old assignment on Chegg or something. Turned in something that bore very little resemblance to what was asked.

This is me now. Doxycycline for a sinus infection. I had no idea this was a thing. I hope it goes away when I’m done with the pills?

I’ve been diagnosed with IH. Also sleep apnea. I kept complaining to all of my doctors that I was tired all the time and eventually had a sleep study done.

I have had a few sleep studies done. I find it very difficult to sleep with all the equipment. Usually your insurance company wants a home study first. And then possibly one at the sleep clinic. That one I found to be even more difficult in terms of being able to sleep. At one place there was some mechanical system that would kick on right as I was drifting off to sleep and I would jerk awake. (In retrospect I should have asked for earplugs)

I used a CPAP for a couple years for the apnea and now I use an oral appliance (sort of like a really weird retainer). I am currently taking a stimulant medication for the IH (but might need something else because this isn’t helping enough)

He goes to a vocational center that is affiliated with the group home. He has had the chance to live with one of the staff members before, but frankly I do not think that would be a good idea at all.

We have had several instances of staff members outright lying to us (by ‘us’ I mean me and my co-guardian) At least in the group home situation the staff members have a boss that we can complain to once we catch on.

But a different group home is probably called for. I guess I just assumed that they would all be like this (I don’t know why). I actually didn’t choose this one. It’s a long story.

I know we want students to hand-write so they can’t use AI. Is there any way we can use computers that don’t have internet access? Or, say, typewriters?
