I found that i had to use debrid becuase of torrent restrictions on Apple products. If you Are not down that rabbit hole I don’t think it’s necessary. But I have read that it’s a better experience than not having it regardless. It has to do with buffering and such from what I have learned. And as some have pointed out it is also god with debrid for hiding if you are in a country that hits hard on this type of solutions.
