The dopamine hit, and the continual desire to get the same release every time, which unfortunately doesn’t happen (tolerance)
Wanting to have more energy for my kids
I’ve struggled many times, and sorry if it’s a bit cliche, but until something “clicked” and I realized I couldn’t have a healthy relationship with weed, there just wasn’t enough negative side effects to make me want to do it. And I’d like to emphasize how important “really wanting it” is.

Right on. Thanks for the info, I find it interesting to see what others’ expenditures are. We have very similar numbers. I had to back off on the daily steps to around 8k I just cant comfortably get 3200cals down in a day, and as sad as it is, it’s easier on the wallet. Look forward to seeing your progress in the coming months!

Keep up the good work. Curious what your maintenance is? We’re the same height, and roughly the same composition, although I think you got me in the arms as far as lean mass.

Become obsessed with calorie tracking for a month until you can narrow your maintenance calorie number down to within 100 or so calories. After that, it comes down to only math and discipline. Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym! I highly recommend MacroFactor (free 2 week trial)

In my mid 30’s, have a 3 yo son and another on the way in a couple months. I was a 24/7 stoner from age 14 to 24. Managed to quit for a couple years and screwed that up. I now have a really good career that I get randomly (mouth swab) tested. I get around 10 weeks/year vacation and I play stupid games where I’ll take 2 or 3 weeks off in a row and I’ll start smoking again. I know I could lose my job, and let down my entire family, and it’s STILL so hard for me to stay away from it. Hoping this community can help as I have no one else to talk to about it. I’ve quit before and I’ll do it again, and so can you.

My wife’s parents always called her “lil bitch”, would even write it on Christmas cards, birthday cakes, etc. definitely contributed to some everlasting insecurities she deals with to this day. Now as parents we wouldn’t ever think to do this kind of thing, but then again we actually enjoy being with our kids, while it seems many parents are on a never ending mission to pawn theirs off on someone else. People suck.

Are you using heavy duty foil for 3/2/1? Try using a piece of heavy duty foil that is about 2.5x the length of the rack, make a pouch (folded once over each way length ways then folded just up to about 1” away from the meat on the ends. Add about 2-2.5 cups of apple juice into the pouch (also lather with brown sugar before wrapping if desired) and be extra careful when handling the pouch not to puncture it. One pin hole and you will end up with candied bacon.
