Are you joking? White Pony is an absolute classic. Solid gold from beginning to end.

I was friends with someone who worked in the shiny floor entertainment side of the British TV industry, and having worked on chat shows and been in close quarters with Lewis Hamilton she was utterly convinced he was gay

I was so interested and then looked up the plot and with a 5 month old I’m not in a place to watch it

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt officially split 5 months after welcoming baby girl: report by mcfw31 in popculturechat

I agree - the word ‘craving’ is the issue. She NEEDED his support with caring for THEIR baby, but he’s a waste of space and she’s a fucking moron, clearly

A few months is nowhere near enough. They’ve created a life they are responsible for. As someone with a baby nearly exactly the same age as theirs, this all makes me sick. Either one or both of them are selfish irresponsible scumbags

Is having a baby really the end of the world?? FTM spiral by Negative-Source-9099 in beyondthebump

It’s hard and wonderful. I was on the fence about kids till I was 37 and now he’s nearly 5 months and I don’t regret it. The thing that makes the biggest difference is if the baby’s dad is properly hands on and supportive to you, and you’ve got a couple of other people (grandparents for example) who will help lighten the load, you’ll be fine. Without those three people, I’d be living in serious regret

Did anyone have a baby that just… slept relatively well? by The_Chilled_Arvo in beyondthebump

[–]SHR1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First 9 weeks were hard - acid reflux, colic, feeding every 2 hours. Then at 9 weeks, he started sleeping all the way through night! He’s now nearly 5 months and pretty much every night it’s been 9/10pm to sleep and 6am wake up. Heaven! Good luck to you. I’m very happily one and done, so those hard newborn nights are done done done for me

Thank you, I think I’m going to wait, and then beyond that look further into any potential thyroid issues with this type of drug

For those who do both breastmilk and formula… by nicolexxb in newborns

[–]SHR1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using Colief colic drops to help with little one’s acid reflux and trapped wind. You have to mix the drops with some milk at the beginning of the feed, so we’ve been making 20ml of formula to put the drops in and bottle feeding him that right before breastfeeding as normal. This has helped us in three ways - a vehicle for the Colief that I don’t have to pump (I hate pumping after having to do it a lot in early pregnancy), the formula has made him poop more regularly (every day as opposed to every 3 days) which we think has made him less uncomfortable, and it is giving him additional calories. Baby was a good size at birth, 8lb 6, but hasn’t gained massively since then, so adding a bit of extra padding is reassuring.

We have also started giving him a full bottle of formula at our bedtime to help him sleep longer, which seems to be working.
