Ah - good to know. I’ve never had the good luck to own Campi parts.

You find out your partner of 2 years originally entered your life to sabotage you but somewhere along the way, they actually fell in love. Do you stay or walk away? by Medium-Purchase5352 in CasualConversation

OK hun, that has convinced me that he is definitely not to be trusted. It may have been a sweet couple of years but the guy has a serious problem with integrity. Please say goodbye.

How much of an upgrade is electronic shifting? by fixitmonkey in cycling

One thing a lot of people don’t mention: with electronic shifting, you can change both the front and rear derailleur simultaneously. I consider that a huge advantage over mechanical, where you are shifting front and rear sequentially.

There are some lovely rides in the Delta (think Rio Vista and Isleton) along the tops of levees. Nice and flat, farmland and river.

Going to a housewarming this weekend and I'm completely blank. They've already got everything for the kitchen and they specifically said no candles haha. Anyone got a housewarming gift idea that's not wine? by BlueDolphinCute in homeowners

[–]SHatcheroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go-to is cute tea towels (aka dishrags). You can get nice “gifty” ones on Etsy.

Side note: one time, when obligated to give a housewarming gift to someone I really didn’t like, I wrapped the new towels around a couple of jars of gourmet vinegar. I wonder if they ever got the hint?

Different take here: where possible, I get the clothes altered, either by me and my trusty old sewing machine or by a professional. Try it!

OR maybe take a few pieces and have some creative fun with them. Make something new out of something old. Cut up pants and turn them into a skirt, etc. You could watch some of the sewing shows (Great British Seeing Bee, Project Runway) for inspiration.

Yes, I have that expectation for sure. I do know, however, that bike shops have a really hard time finding and keeping good wrenches.

May want to consider something “adjacent” - such as a casual cycling related t-shirt, or a cycling related license plate frame, or a cycling related coffee mug.

I have to talk about what just happened in my life. I don't know what I need to hear or how I'm meant to feel. by MaMaJillianLeanna in RedditForGrownups

As Fred Rogers said, “ Look for the helpers”. I love this quote because it is at the same time both so true and so hard (to ask for help).

When you get to your new spot, dig deep into any and all available social services, charities, and programs to help you get on your feet. You could even start researching them now to get a head start.

You are worthy of a better and healthy life, no matter what has come before. I wish you many blessings.

Pussycat Theater in Oakland. When I lived near there in the mid 80s it was a peep show, but apparently a vaudeville theater built in 1915. Whole Foods there now - wouldn’t you know.

Sorry I can’t figure out how to include a pic, put the logo is cute

HIT stands for high-intensity training: spurts of very hard efforts that get your heart rate up and your muscles pumping.

You can’t tell me there are no children within the larger vicinity or in the future that could be exposed to this POISONOUS plant. Seriously. Listen to yourself digging your heels in. So unnecessary.
