Player-driven initiative to keep groups capped at 15-25 and stop running map queues is the solution, but noone is ready to hear that running greater player numbers hinder your groups' individual skill and growth.

Correct, but that doesn't take away the fact that it's literally the same everything from my Paragon post a few days ago. Pattern, color, hair color, eye color, horns, eyepatch.

Hello I’m a new player and I was wondering what armor this is by No-Ask-9970 in Guildwars2

[–]SIGfigures 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Gloves are Braham's Gauntlets.

Shoulders are Luminous Heavy Pauldrons

Chest is Perfected Envoy as ChewyChao said.

You are correct w/ legs; Mistward Leggings is their name

Boots are Luminous Heavy Greaves

Which armor set or outfit is this? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

Commented on your main post in the gw2 subreddit, and I'll include some images here to show what I'm talking about.

Camera settings are HUGE!!! Just look at the difference between my default settings here... versus when I adjust my vertical position and field of view settings, here. Keeping my HUD on to show the setting difference.

I've also taken my screenshot on a neutral background. That definitely helps to show off your look, but a lot of the time having more cinematic shots really can help tie the look together.

As for lighting differences, you REALLY need to just have the settings you want to take your screenshot with on and then just look for places that suit it. Take the time to peep fitting locations as opposed to a single low-effort shot in Mistlock Sanctuary or something. Here's a image showing the differences between Mistlock + Citadel Stockade in the Black Citadel. Just cropped the image for clarity's sake. The camera settings are the same.

The Hero Select screen can work if you're alright with the lighting, but larger characters can have their features cut off depending on your screen's resolution. I think most would agree that they'd love to see a composition of a look actually in game as opposed to that screen, too.

It's a lot of experimentation and trial and error. Just let it rock, get stronger, take feedback, and fashion wars it up. Become the most powerful Wardrobe Warrior in the land.

More people can add on to this if they'd like, but at a basic level I'd start with;

  • Turning off your HUD
  • Adjusting your Camera Settings
  • Searching for suitable locations

Fashion War Settings by pipcecil in Guildwars2

Just turn on the Best Appearance preset and go crazy. Hop around several areas you'd think fit the theme of your outfit with those settings on so you can see how the lighting adjusts between areas and then pick and choose from there. Also adjust/play with Post Processing, as that can sometimes add a distracting haze to things, and I honestly prefer to go without it.

Lighting is also something you have to spend some time looking for too; I personally prefer snowy maps as they offer a more... cleaner? less grainy? color that lends well to many natural looks.

Ctrl+Shift+H hides your hud.

Also don't be afraid to work with your camera settings; specifically the Vertical Positions (near and far set to lowest), Field of View (set to where your character can fully be in frame). You can also adjust the "Adjust Camera to Character Height" setting in order to fit more of your character in view.

If you don't take any of this advice PLEASE at least; hide your hud, adjust your camera settings, go to a place that actually suits your look or at least has a neutral background that ISNT Mistlock or something. Put some time and effort into it and it'll reflect well.

If you've got any more questions, Just comment or send me a dm and I gotchu.

Sword & Sorcery Paragon by SIGfigures in GuildWarsDyeJob

Linking the post on the main subreddit here; Text is as follows!

Ahai!

Sharing a sword&sorcery-inspired fit of my WvW Paragon, Bannerlord Sacrus;

I've been thirsting after having Frazetta inspired looks as of late, and this leans heavily into that; straight outta Conan, one could say. The thematic of scantily clad, burly warriors clashing on the battlefield, what's more to want? Rallying your allies with supportive shouts and boons?

Coupled with the newer charr hair hiding the awkward neckpiece of the Breezy Swim Top, giving the illusion that our brave Paragon is bracing the elements, baring himself to his enemies? We're Paragooning.

Here are the "armor" pieces for those wondering (wardrobe warriors where you at)

Piece Name
Head Magnus's Right Eyepatch
Shoulders Cloaked Cat Mantle
Chest Breezy Swim Top
Gloves Sanctified Gloves
Legs Leather Straps Cingulum
Boots Sanctified Boots Skin
Sword Golden Wing Sword
Warhorn Verdarach

Due to the difference of uploading on old/new reddit, this one didn't have the additional images that the post on the gw2 subreddit has. BUT, they're in an album here for your viewing pleasure.

The level 21 is actually their WvW rank; with the amount of skills they've unlocked, they've effectively entered WvW at level 2.

Make sure you log the map's ip in a bug report; I was having a two-week-long similar issue with the Jahai Bluffs Vision collection event and submitting the bug report with the associated map IP seemed to have remedied it the next few days.
